Story
Meet Crixus, an 8 year old, 19 pound, Pomsky whom, with no fault of his own, entered the rescue to avoid unnecessary issues in a relationship split. Crixus is an active, playful, funny guy who can seem a bit shy at first, but warms up easily to show his personality. Crixus does have a high energy level and his foster is asking his future home have a fenced yard to ensure his safety during play. Crixus is fully potty trained, uses a crate well, knows a few basics, and has leash manners. He has shown he does well with other dogs and cats, has not been a fan of younger children pulling on him- but does fine with older children that know and understand he is smaller. If you believe you have a place in your home to add this handsome boy, complete the needed ADOPTION APPLICATION by following the link below. **PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must live within an hour radius of Toledo, Ohio. *Crixus is neutered, microchipped, current on shots, and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention *His adoption fee is $200.00 *Visit the link below to complete the ADOPTION APPLICATION to help Crixus find his forever home ADOPT HERE: http://www.dogworksohio.com/adoption-application.html

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Coco Puff is a one year old male Siberian Husky. He is on the smaller side for a husky, at about 45 pounds, and will not get much bigger. He is crate and trained and potty trained. He came all the way from a rural Texas shelter where he was to be euthanized for space. He is the sweetest boy, and very happy to be in Michigan! He is friendly to other dogs, big and small, and children. He should be supervised around young children as he is excitable and may knock them over. We believe with slow introductions that he may do well with cats, as he is friendly to my mean chihuahua. He loves to go for walks, but uses a special harness so he doesn’t pull. He gets the zoomies, loves to cuddle, loves to play, and loves water. He prefers to sleep in the bed and take up all the space! He is still a puppy and learning puppy manners, like not to jump when excited. He knows sit, come, and kennel, and is still learning more! Coco Puff is a good representation of his breed. He is very much a husky, and special care should be taken to prevent escaping. He can open doors, and has chewed through or slipped harnesses and leashes. He should always wear a martingale collar with his identification attached. He should wear a harness on walks, which after should then be removed as he chews on them if left alone. He would benefit from an airplane-approved crate as he tries to open the doors of wire crates with his tongue. He does shed and sometimes likes to talk. However, he is pretty quiet at night in his kennel. Research on the breed or breed experience is recommended prior to adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hello my name is lollipop! I am a sweet timid old lady. I am looking for a home where I can live out my golden years, I’m estimated to be about 14. I really enjoy the company of other dogs but I am too old for play. I can be a little spicy when made to do something that makes me feel uncomfortable or by young dogs trying to play but don’t worry, I can’t bite you as I have no teeth!  I am very affectionate with my people and I love to cuddle. I’ve done very well with the children in my foster home but I do prefer children who aren’t going to try to pick me up or play rough. My foster mommy calls me a goofy old lady because I can’t see or hear very well, so sometimes I run into things or ignore her while she’s calling my name but never on purpose. If I sound like your perfect senior companion put in an application and come meet me!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
