Story
Fostered in Niagara Falls, ON *All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Meet AuroraAurora is a stunning Klee Kai mix with beautiful husky-like features, including one bright blue eye and one eye that is a gorgeous blend of blue and brown. Beyond her unique looks, Aurora is a gentle, affectionate, and deeply loyal girl looking for a safe and loving home to call her own.Aurora forms strong bonds with the people she trusts and absolutely loves affection — if you stop petting her, she’ll happily nudge you for more. She is especially drawn to women (a total girls girl 💅) and would make the perfect calm, loyal companion for someone looking for a best friend to share life with. She would fit beautifully into almost any adult home, from a young adult to a senior looking for companionship.Aurora is happiest simply being included in your day, whether that means going for walks, tagging along on errands, visiting pet stores, relaxing in the backyard, or curling up at home beside you. She walks beautifully on leash and is often complimented on how calm and well-mannered she is in public.Aurora can initially be nervous around men due to her unknown past. Her nervousness comes from fear and presents as anxiety not aggression. She may not become instant best friends with a man right away, but with patience, calm energy, and someone who respects her boundaries, she warms up quickly. Aurora recently met a man who gave her space and allowed her to approach on her own terms, and before long she absolutely adored him.If startled by new sounds or situations, Aurora recovers quickly and carries on with what she was doing. She continues to build confidence every day.Because Aurora hasn’t had the stability she deserves, she is looking for an experienced and compassionate adopter who understands rescue dogs and can advocate for her comfort and space when needed, especially around unfamiliar men or new situations.Aurora would love to be the star of the show as an only dog, but she may also do well with a calm, respectful dog companion pending a proper introduction.Like all rescue dogs, extra care should always be taken around doors, gates, and transitions, as she may bolt if startled or distracted by wildlife such as squirrels or birds.Aurora is truly a gem of a dog and is ready for a loving home where she can continue to thrive 💛Name: AuroraBreed: Pomeranian/Klee Kai mixAge: ~3 yearsWeight: ~25 lbSex: Female, spay to be bookedColour: White/BrownMedical: No concernsGood with men: Very nervous; requires slow introductions and patience. Good with women: Yes; warms up well and bonds closelyGood with kids 0–6: No, due to her nervous nature and flight riskGood with kids 7–15: Older, calm, dog-savvy children may be consideredGood with dogs: Dog selective; but could cohabitate with slow/proper introsGood with cats: Yes, fostered successfully with a catCrate training: Enters willingly; may bark briefly before settlingHouse training: Approximately 95% house trained; does best with routineResource guarding: No concerns notedWalks on leash: Excellent on leashEnergy level: Medium; enjoys walks and outdoor time but also loves relaxing and snuggling with her peopleWhat type(s) of environments would NOT be suitable for the dog? Story
Ella’s journey began on the streets of Manitoba, but her story is only getting started. She was taken in by a caring family at just 4 months old and lovingly fostered until a shelter could take her. However, being in a remote northern community where dogs rarely get adopted, Ella was given a second chance. Thanks to the collaboration between Legacy of Love Rescue and Bruno Project Canada, she was transferred to Ontario – to finally find the loving family she truly deserves. 🩷✨ A beautiful husky mix with a gentle heart and a playful spirit, this incredibly sweet girl walks well on a leash, is crate & housetrained, and is dog & kid friendly. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet. Ella is the kind of dog who will fit beautifully into an active, loving home – whether it’s going for walks, playing outside, or curling up beside you at the end of the day. She’s already overcome so much in her young life, and now she’s ready for the one thing she’s been missing: a forever family! 🏠 Could Ella be your perfect match? 🐾💛 Adoption fee: $850 CAD
