Story
*This dog is fostered in the Hamilton area*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. She is a sweet 3-5 year old brown with some black Pomeranian mix who weighs 12lbs. When Juliette meets new people she is a tad shy and takes time to warm up. She needs time to gain trust and feel comfortable in her surroundings. Then she would just love to snuggle with her person - she really loves her people! She was rescued from a hoarding situation where she and 7 other Pom mixes were left in a garage without walks or other basic TLC - and every day she comes out of her sweet shell a bit more. She enjoys the company of other dogs but definitely prefers people (once she warms up). We are not sure about cats. She would have to meet them and we do not have any at the ranch where she is - she does not have much prey drive though. She does very well in a crat and we are watching how she does in the house - so far no messes. She does need a potty schedule to set her up for success as she doesnt bark or go to the door when she has to go. She needs work with leash walking but she does her best, and is ok to be carried but can be squirmy if she is afraid. She does love to snuggle in blankets and in a bed. She needs the right family to accept her and show her affection and a good life. We have not seen her interact with young kids and we would not recommend a home with them as she is still a little timid and we don't want her overwhelmed. A calm home where people have patience and lots of love to give would be perfect for her.Name: JulietteBreed: Pomeranian mix Age: ~3+ years Weight: ~13lbSex: Female, spayedColour: Brown/blackMedical: No concerns; will need a dental as she ages Good with with men and woman: Yes, but shy and takes time to warm up Good with kids: 12+ Good with dogs: Yes, happy to be around/co-exist with other dogsGood with Cats: Unknown, but suspect yes with proper intros Crate training: Yes, settles quickly and quietlyHouse trained: Yes, has been great with a routine Resource Guarding: None seenWalks on a leash: No, needs training Energy level - Low.
