Meet Hachi – A Friendly, Social Husky Looking for His Forever Home!   Name: Hachi Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Husky Color: Black / Brown / Beige Weight: 18.4 kg (40.5 lbs) Height: 52 cm (20.5 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Hachi was rescued from a municipal shelter in 2024, where he was at risk of euthanasia. After his rescue, he stayed at a private shelter and recently moved to the AKR Center to prepare for his journey overseas and, hopefully, his forever home.   Social with People   Hachi is a friendly and affectionate boy who genuinely enjoys being around people. He happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, leans in for affection, and is comfortable being touched and petted.   He is friendly with both men and women and is comfortable being picked up with an arm under his belly.   Social with Other Dogs   Hachi is very social with other dogs. He readily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play.   He is friendly with dogs of all sizes, although he especially enjoys playing with dogs around his own size. He does well even with higher-energy dogs and, if another dog tries to provoke him, he generally prefers to avoid conflict rather than engage.   When he finds a compatible playmate, he loves having fun together!   Cats   Hachi’s reaction to cats has not yet been observed. A cat test can be arranged for a serious applicant if needed.   Energy Level   Hachi has a moderate energy level. He enjoys walks, outdoor activities, and playtime, but once he has had his exercise, he settles down and relaxes quietly.   Walking   Hachi does tend to pull on the leash, so he will benefit from continued leash training. Overall, he is responsive to his handler and follows people well.   At Home & Other Behaviors   Hachi does not show food guarding toward either people or other dogs.   He is generally a quiet dog and rarely barks when people are around. However, when left alone, he may bark for attention, so he may need some gradual training and support to become more comfortable with alone time.   He remains calm when riding in a kennel/crate and knows how to get out of the car on his own. He does not experience motion sickness.   Hachi currently does his bathroom business outdoors.   Hachi is a wonderful combination of social, playful, affectionate, and easygoing. He loves people, gets along beautifully with other dogs, enjoys being active, and knows how to relax afterward. He would be a great match for a family looking for a friendly companion to share both outdoor adventures and quiet time at home.   Could Hachi be the missing piece in your family? Story
Hi… I’m Lala 💕 I’m a 3-year-old husky girl, about 15kg, a little smaller than most huskies—but perfectly squishy and cute if you ask me. I have odd eyes (yes, I know, they’re gorgeous 👀✨) and a fluffy body that’s made for hugs. My life didn’t start out easy. I was once on the list at a city shelter, but kind humans gave me a second chance. When I was rescued, I had heartworm, but it was caught early and I finished my treatment like a champ 💪 Now I’m healthy and ready to start my real life—with you. I love people. Like… really love them. I don’t care if we just met—I’ll happily come say hi, wag my tail, and ask for your attention. I adore gentle hands, affection, and being noticed. If you look at me, I’ll probably already be walking toward you 🥰 I get along great with other dogs too! I enjoy having friends and exploring the world together. On walks, I can be a little curious (okay… very curious 👃), so sometimes I pull on the leash. I’m learning though! With patience and consistency, I promise I can get better. Because I spent a long time in a shelter, home life is new to me. At first, I might need a little time to adjust. I may feel anxious when left alone, and sometimes I express my feelings with husky-style howling 🎶 (I can be a bit dramatic). I’m also still learning outdoor potty routines, so I’ll need regular walks and kind guidance. That’s why I’m hoping for a family who understands huskies—or is willing to learn about us. Someone patient, steady, and ready to grow together with me. I learn fast when I’m loved, and I truly want to do well. If you choose me, I promise this: I’ll give you my whole heart. I’ll walk beside you, talk to you in my husky voice, and become your most loyal friend. With the right family, I know I can be the kind of dog who stays with you for life—through ordinary days and special ones. Could that family be you? 🐾💙

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Jolly Age: 8 years old (Born January 2018) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Pomspitz Color: White Weight:  4.1kg / 9lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an illegal puppy farm, where I never had the chance to experience the safe and loving life every dog deserves. Thankfully, I was given a second chance and those difficult days are now behind me. I’m ready to start a brand new chapter with a forever family who will cherish me, shower me with love, and finally show me what it feels like to truly belong. Volunteers and staff believe I’m Kkoysong’s sister.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues I have a slight underbite, which only adds to my adorable charm! It doesn’t cause me any issues, and I’m otherwise doing great.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a little shyer than my sister Kkosyong, but underneath my quiet nature is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. Because I wasn’t properly socialized earlier in life, I simply need some extra time and patience while I learn that I’m safe. Once I trust you, my affectionate side really comes out. I’ll happily follow you around asking for pets and cuddles, and I can actually be even more attention-loving than my sister! I also have some adorable little quirks. I like to enjoy my meals peacefully in my own corner and take my sweet time eating, which the volunteers find quite funny. Once I’m comfortable with you, I’m very cooperative with grooming and do well with nail trims, brushing, baths, and ear cleaning. Since I’m still building confidence in new environments, I may try to slip through an open door if I see an opportunity. My future family will need to be mindful of doors and make sure I’m safely secured and supervised, especially while I’m adjusting to my new home. With patience, a secure environment, and lots of love, I know my sweet and cuddly personality will continue to blossom.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but with some patience and a few tasty treats, I warm up quickly and will happily take treats right from your hand. Since I didn’t have many opportunities for socialization earlier in life, I simply need a little extra time and understanding as I adjust to new people and environments. I even did wonderfully during my profile photoshoot and showed everyone just how sweet I can be! I’m comfortable being picked up, but gentle handling is important to me, especially when we’re still getting to know each other. I feel safest when my body and bottom are properly supported, and sudden pick-ups in unfamiliar environments can startle me and make me very scared. Once I’ve had time to build trust, though, I’m much more comfortable being held. After all, who doesn’t appreciate being treated with a little patience and gentleness? · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dogs, but I prefer to take my time rather than jumping straight into play. I coexist peacefully with my dog friends at the care facility and am comfortable sharing my space with them. I generally feel most at ease with dogs around my size or smaller, especially those with a calm and respectful approach. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a low energy level and am a true little couch potato at heart! I love spending my days relaxing, snoozing, and enjoying the comfort of a cozy indoor space. I don’t need constant activity to be happy and am perfectly content taking it easy and resting near my people.   TRAINING & HABITS I have great manners around food and don’t guard my meals from either people or other dogs. I also walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well, making me an easy and enjoyable walking companion. I’m a very quiet girl who rarely barks and generally prefers a peaceful environment. I already know how to settle and rest calmly in my kennel, so I’m comfortable having some quiet time on my own. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. With a consistent routine in my forever home, I’m sure I’ll continue making great progress.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding of my shy nature and willing to be patient while I come out of my shell   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet, quiet girl who simply needs a little patience to show you just how loving I can be. Because I had limited socialization earlier in life, I may be shy at first and appreciate gentle handling, a secure environment, and the freedom to adjust at my own pace. Once I feel safe, my affectionate side really blossoms. I’ll happily follow my favorite people around looking for pets, cuddles, and companionship. I’m also a low energy little couch potato who loves peaceful days, cozy naps, and having my own space to relax. I get along well with other dogs, especially those around my size or smaller, and I already have wonderful habits like walking nicely on leash, settling calmly in my kennel, and having good manners around food. Give me a little time to trust you, and I promise there’s a gentle, loyal, and loving companion waiting to blossom.   JOLLY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2818188##
