Story
JR is about 12 years old and weighs 20 lbs. Despite his age he’s still active and playful, and walks well on leash. He’s been with us for several years and was very timid. Our staff has been working to socialize him. He’s still a little shy when meeting new people but once he gets to know you he’s friendly. JR is looking for a forever home where he can spend his golden years with a family who is patient and loving. If you would like to meet this dog you can read about our adoption process and submit an application on our website at: http://www.bajaanimalsanctuary.org/dogs.htm  May 18, 2024, 4:09 pm

Story
Chiquita (Chica) is the last of 9 puppies to be placed in a home. She loves attention and I think with seeing her siblings go away causes her to be a little timid. She is a good watch dog and loves to exercise. Chica has recently got to socialize with other dogs and very playful. She likes to be in her kennel or personal space to sleep and also likes to be outside during the day. I think a few dog training classes @ Petco or Petsmart will get her use to being around large crowds. We have had her mother for 5 yrs and her father lives down the street from us. Both parents are healthy and great dogs.

Story
Toots is the puggin’ cutest! Hello, there! My name is Toots. I’m an adorable, snuggle-pug who can’t wait to be your buddy. I’m a 1-year-old, 16-pound pug mix. I was recently found on the streets of Mexico, livin’ that pug life. Now I’m neutered, happy, healthy, and ready to cuddle into a home with you! I’m a total people-pooch who is cuddly and kissy with my humans. I would love to be on your lap at all times and would happily take a nap with you. Speaking of which, I’m a big fan of a good snooze sprinkled in with some walks and playtime. I currently live happily in a foster home with other dogs but I prefer a slow introduction. I can try to assert my big, tough, puggy male dominance but I’ll settle down over time. I haven’t met any cats or kids yet, so I’m not sure what I think about them. I’m a very good boy who is already bathroom, house, and leash trained. Score! I can be a little protective over my toys and food, but nothing out of the ordinary. I get a little sad when you leave but I’m fine flying solo for short periods of time. I can’t wait to keep working on my training in a loving home with you! Why should you take me home? Well, if my adorable face isn’t reason enough, I’m a sweet, snuggly boy that you’re bound to fall for! I’m relatively low maintenance and would make a pawfect first dog. All I need is a bit of playtime, walks, and lots of love and I’ll be the happiest little dude. Not to TOOT my own horn, but I’m the perfect pup for you! My adoption fee is $500 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##2049339##
