Story
We adopted Otis from the SPCA three years ago. He gets along great with dogs and cats and he interacts wonderfully with our kids, who are 12 and 13. He gets along well with new people and animals. He is very loving, sweet boy. He loves to eat. We are sad that we have to rehome all of our pets. He is originally from Fresno.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. At 6 years young, Rambo is a wiggly, snorty bundle of joy wrapped in a squishy pug package. He’s a professional napper, expert cuddler, and part-time goofball with a full-time snore. This silly little guy gets along with everyone—dogs, kids, grown-ups, mail carriers, probably even squirrels (he hasn’t met one yet, but he’s optimistic). If you’re looking for a best friend who’s equal parts lovable lump and snuggle champion, Rambo's your dude. Warning: excessive tail wags and face licks guaranteed. Rambo's adoption fee includes vaccines, a microchip and neuter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 12, 2025, 11:09 pm

Story
FTA app: https://form.jotform.com/201793643882060 The girl with the winning smile! Hey guys! I am Sussie, Sussie Q. I am a 4 year old, female Pug mix, spayed and about 11 lbs. Heard of the Chandler 55 case? Yes, I am a part of the disabled hoarded dog pack that was rescued from the monster house. With my sweet spirit and smile, you'd never guess what I have gone through. But only when you see my vet report! It's manageable I pawmise. I have Congenital Angular front limb deformity and Chronic orthopedic condition that affects mobility in hind legs that may have been caused by soft tissue injury that has healed. I do take dasuquin  for help. As long as I am being medically managed for mobility issues no surgery is necessary, but will not know know more until later. Surgery will be my adopter's financial responsibility if it is determined it is needed later by our future established vet. Regarding my training, I am leash trained for the 5-10 min walks I take due to leg deformities. The stroller with a soft blankie is my friend! I am pee pad trained. I am not crate trained. Now coming to my personality, the best part! My mama says that I am an absolute perfection! I love playing with dogs and toys, chewing on bones and sometimes your stuff haha but being all cute about it! I am a lap dog and you'd love my snuggles. If I could climb up on your shoulders and into your skin, I would do it! We can be best mates watching tv, all cuddling and being adorable. I am quite fond of dogs, but they have to have a sweet temperament because I can be the big mama. No cats please! I am very good with kids! I do get separation anxiety where I get anxious and scream, but having another dog completely calms me. I am obviously not a hiking dog, but I do make a good cafe date in my stroller. I am always grateful for my rescue and leaving behind that house of horrors. I do a lil dance when I get a new soft blanket and my zeal is infectious. I am the absolutely cutest little nugget that everyone falls in love with when they meet. I am looking for only the best home that will spoil me rotten because that is what this little princess deserves. If there are no dogs in the home I will need humans around for companionship. Any DINK couple around that likes to bring their dog everywhere with them? I am looking for a home with the best chew bones, softest blankets, and good sunbathing spots. If you think you have that X-factor, let's go get a drink together! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Forever Home Wanted: Meet Nile! Looking for a pint-sized best friend with a big personality? Meet Nile, the charming pug mix who’s ready to wiggle his way into your heart. Though the shelter listed him as a year old, we think Nile is closer to 4–5 years young—and just the right mix of playful and mellow. Rescued alongside his buddy Irvin, Nile is now soaking up the good life and dreaming of a forever family of his own. This little guy is the full package: dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, and people-friendly—basically, friendly all around. He loves toys, happily fetches them again and again, and can often be found snuggled up in a cozy lap between play sessions. Nile would thrive with someone who works from home, since he can be a bit of a shadow (and isn’t shy about letting you know he misses you). He’s the kind of companion who just wants to be where you are—whether that’s a lazy afternoon nap or a weekend adventure. If you’re ready for a loyal sidekick who loves treats, attention, and being part of the action, Nile’s your guy. If interested in meeting Nile, please fill out an application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. Nile is located in Southern California.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 1, 2025, 11:23 pm

ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Do you have a heart for animals who have had a rough start to life? Meet Cocoa, an 8-month-old, 16 lb pug mix. We don’t know what conditions she lived in before coming to us, but they left her timid and scared of humans. She needs someone who will be patient and help win her trust and heart. She is a very sweet dog who is house-trained and crate-trained. Cocoa is not leash-trained at all. Despite her fear, she does not bite. She does not like being picked up and does best if you allow her to approach you. She loves playing with other dogs. She would be a great companion for another small dog, and that dog will help her be more comfortable with humans. She especially likes chews, chew toys, and food. She needs a quieter house without kids. With lots of love and patience, Cocoa will make the perfect pet.  She is Spayed and up to date on vaccinations for his age.  Her adoption fee is $350.  A refundable training deposit of $100 will be also due upon adoption. Training must be provided in a timely fashion to ensure our pups become the best canine citizens. The training deposit will be refundable within 3 months of the adoption date. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies.
