Looks like: Pug mix Male, 6 years old (estimated), 18 pounds Poor Buggs has had a rough time lately, but he has not let his recent past dampen his spirits. He's the happiest little guy and definitely on the path to a better life! He gets along well with other pups, but we don't know yet how he does around kitties or children. Unfortunately, Buggs has a long road to recovery ahead. He is currently at our vet clinic awaiting surgery to repair a fractured pelvis. We are still working on his medical plan, but we know he will need to be on strict crate rest for many more weeks, if not months. Once he is fairly stable, we'd love to see him land in a caring home to recover with his people by his side. This sweet little Pug was brought to San Jose Animal Care Center after being hit by a car. He was found to have a fractured pelvis and an injured left eye, which was removed at the shelter. He came to us when the shelter reached out to see if we could help.

Looks like: Pug Female, 7 years old (estimated), 15 pounds Brace yourself! There's no escape from falling head over heels in love with this goofy girl! Lucy seems to have had a rough life in the past, but we're happy to say she has nothing but pampering and adoration in her future! This sweet girl loves to smother you in sloppy Pug kisses! If you're extra special, you may even get a little wiggly body dance and a roll over for belly rubs. Lucy gets along famously with other dogs! She has yet to meet a dog she doesn't immediately become friends with! We don't know yet how she does around cats or children, but we can only imagine she'd enjoy soaking in extra pets from dog savvy little ones. This sweet little Pug lady joined Peace of Mind after her guardian was no longer able to care for her.

Robin came to AFRP after entering Hitchcock Road Animal Services as a stray pup with a myriad of medical needs. Lets just say she didn't experience the best life prior to arriving in our care, but she's living her best life now, just waiting for her new family! According to her fosters, Robin is a sweet and loving pup full of life and fun! She loves playing with toys, going on short walks, and spending time with her humans. Because she prefers to be the center of attention she would do best as the only pet in the household. Trust us, she has plently of love to go around! She is currently working on training, and can sit. She needs continued training with walking nicely on a leash. She is crate-trained. Robin is looking for an adopter who has experience with brachycephalic breeds (flat-faced dogs) and understands their continued needs. She is also seeking someone comfortable with her continued medical needs, such as daily heart medication and facial fold cleaning. Robin comes with pre-registration for one-on-one classes to help with his exposure to other dogs and general basic obedience. She will do best in an adult-only household, or with children 10 and older. Robin is currently in foster care.
