Story
Chato needs a foster—or even better, a foster-to-adopt home Chato is a 1-year-old male pug mix and one of the many sweet dogs in East San Jose who’ve spent most of their young lives outdoors. His family is ended up  letting him go , as the husband recently suffered a serious head injury and is preparing for surgery, while the wife is balancing everything alone—including caring for their 2-year-old (whom Chato absolutely adored). We met Chato, and thanks to a kind offer for temporary housing, the family felt safe surrendering him to our rescue. Now, this little guy is ready for the next chapter: a loving foster home—or even better, a foster-to-adopt family. Chato is friendly, affectionate, and still has that puppy sweetness. He loves playing with other dogs and his toys, but more than anything, he loves being near people—likely because he didn’t get to spend much time indoors or close to humans, having lived and slept in an outdoor kennel. He’s now neutered and fully up to date on vaccines. If you can open your heart and home to Chato, even temporarily while we search for his forever family, please reach out. This adorable English Bulldog is all about love, snuggles, and soaking up every bit of attention she can get. She has the softest heart and will happily curl up next to you for naps, belly rubs, and lazy afternoons. But don't be fooled - this sweet girl has a lot of energy and would love an active household! Gumdrop does great with other dogs and loves having canine friends to hang out with--but she'd prefer a home without cats (she thinks they're just too mysterious!).If you're looking for a loyal, cuddly companion who will fill your days with joy, love, and bulldog charm, Gumdrop is your girl! This handsome Boston boy has a heart as warm and soft as his name suggests. Muffin Man is a mellow, easy-going gentleman who believes every day should include naps in sunny spots, gentle strolls, and a comfy lap for dessert. He's the kind of pup who makes life feel sweeter just by being in the room. He's friendly with other dogs, polite in his manners, and has perfected the art of the slow tail wag. Whether you're lounging on the couch, puttering around the house, or enjoying a quiet afternoon, he'll happily trot along and keep you company. Muffin man joined us from San Jose Care and Animal Services after coming in as a stray. Due to his senior status and a small abrasion on his leg that needed attention, they felt he would do best in a rescue setting to heal and find his forever people.
