Story
Mason is totally housebroken, gets along with other dogs, super sweet and loves to cuddle. He is such a good boy his only downfall is he’s a little shy of people at first. He’s an excellent walker on a leash and he’s learning commands. Mason is a Husky / Shihtzu - Chihuahua mix with short legs and weighs about 30 pounds.  His birthdate is around September 2022. ##1698992##

Story
Anri was brought to us as a rescue and she was very under weight at the time. We don’t know her exact age but I’m guessing between 2-3. Her original owner had locked her in a cage for most of her life and starved her. I mean she was skin and bones and my kids called her claws because of how long her nails were. We were going to keep her but decided to foster her because she needs a lot of attention. She is the sweetest pup and will want to sleep in your bed indefinitely haha. However because of her earlier life of being locked away she will scavenge for food endlessly and with three young kids we can’t stop her from getting ahold of it. She just still doesn’t realize that there will always be food. She has some food aggression but when she is monitored she is fine. She howls and I find that hilarious since she is a pug! She is very very hyper still so if she’s walked daily that will settle her. With the right home I know she is going to thrive!

Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Story
Peanut is a senior mixed breed, presumably part pug given the markings on his face. He is around 18 pounds, and about 15 years old. (Not sure: the humane society didn't have history.) He is neutered, HW negative, and on Heartgard. He has cataracts in both eyes and is hard of hearing, but he sees and hears well enough that no special help is needed. Peanut belonged to my recently deceased father and is accustomed to being an only dog. He does ok with female dogs and similar sized males, but he sometimes challenges larger males, we suppose out of fear. We have never had him around kids, but I don't think it would be a good match. Peanut likes to go outside in the fenced yard to patrol his kingdom, but he also enjoys a snooze with his human. My sister and I would love to keep him, but we have moved abroad to a hot climate where we already have 6 dogs and a cat in a very small yard. We truly believe he could not thrive there. Peanut would be a great companion for an older person or couple.

Story
A WONDERFUL DOG FRIEND: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 31 lbs. Hi there, I’m Vivian! I’m a darling dog who found myself in need of a new home and I’m grateful that Mostly Mutts has taken me in to help me do just that. I love my time with the wonderful volunteers and had a great time in a couple of temporary foster homes too!      • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, and I enjoyed playing with and running around with the friendly dogs in my temp. foster homes too! So if you have a friendly dog at home already, let’s meet! / I was very interested in the kitty in one of my temp. foster homes. I didn’t chased him, but I did try to sniff him. All cats are different, so I'm not sure how I would do with another kitty. / I enjoy the kids that are 6-15 years old in my temp. foster home, so if you have sweet kids these ages, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, sweet, happy, and loving girl who’s an absolute delight to be around! I’m very cuddly and am so happy when I’m being petted and loved on. I’m also fun, active, and curious, enjoying the chance to explore my surroundings and sniff everything I can. I was a little unsure of the bath sprayer, but I stayed calm and did very well, looking up with my adorable seal-pup eyes that are sure to melt your heart. I’m a wonderful companion who’s ready to share lots of love, cuddles, and happy moments with my forever family. / Energy level: Approx. 4-6.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘down’ commands so far and I’m sure you can teach me lots more. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s continue my training together. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, and I slept well overnight in my crate in my temp. foster homes as well. / My potty manners were good on the shelter schedule, with only a few accidents, and they were also good in my temp. foster homes.      • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love cuddling, sharing sweet kisses, and getting head and bottom scratches from my people. Tasty treats are always appreciated, and I enjoy playing with my doggy friends too. I also love going on outings—I had a wonderful time visiting the Smith-Gilbert Gardens—and I ride very well in the car, so I’d be happy to tag along on your adventures. Running in a yard together is also fun! / I can be startled by sudden movements towards me or loud noises, so I appreciate it when people move slowly and gently around me. Things like quickly reaching for my leash or the sound of the garage door can make me nervous, but with patience and reassurance, I continue to gain confidence. And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.  • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family that will treasure me! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.August 13, 2026, 6:13 am
