Story
Meet Auggie Auggie is seeking a local, adult only home with a fenced yard and a similarly sized playmate! Auggie is an adorable 6.5 yr old, 15 lb Pug/Chihuahua mix who was picked up a stray and never reclaimed. He was highly stressed in the shelter and we didn’t hesitate to pull him when his time was up. Auggie is a sweet silly boy, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. He loves toys! He enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. Auggie loves to play with other similar sized energetic dogs but is intimidated by bigger dogs. He is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed in a home with big dogs! . Older dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He does okay with a dog savvy cat but for cats not used to dogs he would not be a good fit. Auggie is a resource guarder and because of this he will not be placed in a home with children. He has super sensitive hearing and will protect you from the UPS truck so apartment living is not in his future! Auggie is crate trained and housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. He does need to lose a couple pounds. Auggie has been in foster care for quite some time now and we really dont know why - we know the perfect home is out there somewhere! LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE

Mason is totally housebroken, gets along with other dogs, super sweet and loves to cuddle. He is such a good boy his only downfall is he’s a little shy of people at first. He’s an excellent walker on a leash and he’s learning commands. Mason is a Husky / Shihtzu - Chihuahua mix with short legs and weighs about 30 pounds.  His birthdate is around September 2022. ##1698992##

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Lola Jean and Angus Daniel are a bonded 2-year-old pair who are looking for a home together, where they can continue to thrive side by side. Lola Jean is a female Bulldog mix with a fun, enthusiastic personality. She is food motivated (she LOVES her treats!!) and enjoys learning and engaging with people. She has moderate to high energy and can get very excited when heading somewhere she’s interested in, which can lead to some strong pulling on leash. In her kennel, she has been reliable and has not had accidents. Angus Daniel is a 2-year-old Scottish Terrier mix who tends to be more calm and easygoing. He walks very well on leash and has a relaxed presence overall. He is still working on consistency with potty habits and may occasionally have accidents in his kennel, but he is continuing to improve. Together, Lola Jean and Angus Daniel bring out the best in each other. They are both noticeably more settled, confident, and content when they are together, and their bond provides them with comfort and balance. They are looking for a home that can welcome them both and continue supporting their individual needs while celebrating the strong connection they share. Lola Jean currently weighs about 42lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 08/16/02023), and her adoption fee is $510. Lola Jean has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Lola Jean, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Story
A VERY SWEET ‘SPECIAL NEEDS’ GUY:  Approx. 13 years old / Approx. 27 lbs. Hi, my name is Tony!  I had a home, but – sadly – my owner passed away.  Fortunately, I made my way to Mostly Mutts and am spending time in a great foster home now.  I am ready to find a new home where I can love and be loved by my new family!  I needed bloodwork done before my eye removal and neuter surgery, and I've had that now thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve been great with the other dogs in my foster home and even share dog beds with them.  I WILL try to investigate the food bowls of others at mealtime, so monitoring is best during feeding.  I’d likely enjoy a gentle dog in my new home to casually pal around with, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet! / I pretty much ignore the cats in my foster home. But – as with my doggie friends, I will try to help clean the kitty food bowls – lol.  All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat. / I have been just wonderful with the kids (age 10 and 13) who visit my foster home.  Children in my new home may be nice, but best they are old enough to respect my limited sight and deafness, and – of course, let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  When describing my super sweet personality, my foster says I am ‘an absolute lovebug’ to all people I’ve met while with them.  I’m pretty much their shadow throughout the day and – though I do some vocalizing when separated from my people, I’ve never been destructive in my foster home.  I would like a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member like I have in my foster home to be my happiest.  A happy guy that doesn't seem to let anything break my stride, I’ll occasionally show a pep in my step and channel my playful side, but I mostly just want to collect the love.  Since I don’t hear, I’ll need my family to make sure I’m kept safe from danger that I would otherwise hear, and my sight is a bit limited, though I do still see out of my remaining eye pretty well – over time that may or may not diminish. / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am deaf, so my foster family uses hand gestures to get me to come to them. / I’ve not been crated in my foster home and have not needed a crate. / I do great on a schedule with my potty manners, and I'll sometimes go to a door when I need to go outside.  My foster is working with me on correcting some marking indoors. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to hang out with my people and get snuggles whenever possible.  My foster keeps a dog bed near them while they work, and I am super content to hang out there – just to be near them.  I’m also very food motivated – mealtime is a favorite of mine.  Another fun pastime is walking around the garden area sniffing everything.  I may be deaf and be missing an eye, but my nose works just fine, as I enjoy exploring all the smells with my sniffer. / Other than not liking to be away from people, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention in my senior years. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I only have a few teeth left, but that’s ok - I can eat just fine.  Since I’m an older fellow, keeping me on a good over the counter joint supplement called Cosequin is always a good idea.   I am looking for a loving home with a family who will open their hearts to a sweet senior for life!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  March 8, 2026, 7:16 am
