Please read this carefully before applying. Bob is all love. Bob is adorable. Bob is a handful. Bob's Daily Routine Cheat Sheet (A realistic snapshot of what helps Bob succeed) Morning Wake up = immediate trip outside. No coffee first. Bob will not wait. Breakfast. Straight back outside. This is not optional. Bob is fully prepared. Mid-Morning Short walk or play session. He's got bunny energy and needs an outlet. Supervised free time. If it's on the floor and smells interesting, Bob will investigate with his mouth. Midday Potty break. Even if he &#194&#147just went earlier.&#194&#148 Trust us. Nap time. Bob naps hard. After Any Nap Outside. Immediately. This is a pattern, not a suggestion. Afternoon Another short walk or play burst. Mental stimulation helps. Sniffing, training, puzzle toys that are not edible. Dinner Dinner. Immediately outside again. Bob is nothing if not consistent. Evening Chill time with his people. Couch, cuddles, general supervision. Gates up. Trash secured. Snack drawers closed. Before Bed One last potty trip. Do not skip this. Bedtime with his humans. Bob takes this part very seriously. Important Notes Bob thrives on routine, supervision, and follow-through. Accidents will happen while training continues. A good stash of paper towels and disinfectant is required. Homes without carpet are strongly preferred. A non-rental home is ideal due to training and management needs. A fenced-in yard would be a big plus. Bob loves to do zoomies, especially with other dogs. Bob should not have access to garbage, litter boxes, toys, or unattended food. Consistency + structure + humor = success. Baby gates are not a suggestion. They are a lifestyle. Homes with kids' toys scattered around, piles of things, and similar clutter may be too much for him. He's not potty trained, but being crated for hours and hours is not going to be good for him. He adores humans and being part of the mix. Email us at info@sheltertohome.com if you're interested in meeting or learning more about Bob. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**March 18, 2026, 11:11 pm

Story
Meet Carmelow!!! Carmelow is a sweet pug mix who just needs the simple things in life. He's not a complicated dog — he just wants to go on walks, be near his person, and maybe show off his little trick where he stands on his hind legs and waves his front paws when he knows a treat is coming. It's ridiculously cute. He's got a medium-to-high energy level, so he does best with someone who is looking for more of an active dog. He LOVES going on his daily walks. He also is a huge fan of exploring and sniffing around, so a short hike is right up his alley. Inside, he's pretty chill once he's had his exercise. He'll hang out right at your feet while you're working or relaxing — this dog just likes being close to his people. Carmelow gets along well with other dogs and warms up to strangers quickly. We prefer Carmelow goes to a home with a fenced yard or at someone who will keep him on leash at all times as he will test the boundaries. *5 years young *Neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, vaccinated. *Dog, cat and kid friendly (may sometimes chase a cat but means no harm) *No need for a crate, not destructive! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Jellybean – a little burst of springtime joy! Just like her name, Jellybean is tiny, sweet, and guaranteed to brighten your day. At only 9 months old and around 35 pounds, she’s the perfect little pocket of happiness... small enough to snuggle, but big enough to fill your heart completely. Jellybean’s story hasn’t always been as bright as a spring morning. When she first arrived at the shelter in Detroit, she had a painful injury on her face that tugged at everyone’s heartstrings. Once she made her way into foster care, it was discovered that the wound wasn’t what it seemed - there was actually a piece of bone in there that had to be removed so she could finally begin to heal. And now… this spring marks her fresh start. Like the first flowers pushing through after a long winter, Jellybean is blooming into the happy, loving pup she was always meant to be. She’s resilient, playful, and full of that quiet kind of joy that makes you smile without even realizing it. All she needs now is a forever home where she can keep growing, loving, and sharing her sweetness - just like the best kind of jellybean. Ready to add a little sweetness to your life? Jellybean is waiting.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. May 16, 2026, 1:10 pm

Story
Meet Willow Willow is a 6-year-old Boston Terrier/Pug mix weighing in at 24lbs of pure personality, snuggles, and comedy. This sweet girl recently found herself in rescue after her family made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her while going through difficult personal hardships. It was clear she was deeply loved, and now she’s hoping to find a forever family to love her just as much. Willow is an active, social, and happy girl who enjoys being part of the action. She has a goofy, comical personality that is guaranteed to keep her family smiling. Whether she’s bouncing around with excitement, carrying around her favorite chew toy, or burrowing herself deep into a pile of blankets like the little “blanket baby” she is, Willow brings joy everywhere she goes. She does well with other dogs, has lived successfully with cats, and has experience around dog-savvy children. Willow is both house trained and crate trained, making her transition into a new home much easier. Willow will require either a securely fenced yard or a family committed to regular leash walks and exercise, as she has a tendency to run if given the opportunity. Because of this, she is not a good candidate for a tether or tie-out system. This adorable girl is looking for a family that will appreciate her silly personality, love of cozy blankets, and affectionate nature. In return, Willow promises plenty of laughs, companionship, and unconditional love. If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, snuggly companion to love furever, Willow may just be your perfect match. Willow is:Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedSpayedADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2731095##

Bosko A18422743 lb. neutered male, approx 1 year old -This boy is a little anxious here and would love to find a home and family of his own!-He loves to be close for pets and attention, but will need time and patience to fully relax-He gives lots of kisses-I could not get him to engage in play with toys or me-He is treat motivated, will occasionally sit and takes them nicely-He walks nicely with minimal pulling-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Boxer English Bulldog

Female, Adult
Detroit, MI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Citrus was living alone in an abandoned house with no doors or windows. We trapped her, and she got very upset. Citrus was growling for many many days, and did not allow any handling. She finally came around to trust us, and is now a loving sweetheart. Citrus wants an understanding foster-to-adopt home, who wants to baby her. She is estimated to be 2-4 years old, and a mix between English Bulldog and Boxer. Citrus has a classic cautious and disapproving yet personable English Bulldog personality, and the silly play style of a Boxer. We are looking for a household without children for Citrus. Leashed walks are fine, she does not require a fenced in yard. Citrus has dog friends at the shelter - but incorporating her into a home dynamic with other dogs will take weeks. If you are up for it, we can discuss. We cover all needed vet care. The adoption fee is $275. Please apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt
