Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.PUDDIN' and her mother PEACHES are 2 pugs that were dumped early one morning at a local car dealership.  Luckily there were some employees who are dog lovers and took them in for a little while until I was able to pick them up. As usually we look for the flaws in a dog if it was intentionally dumped but very few times do we find any.  That certainly is the case with PUDDIN' & PEACHES, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.  Each of them is very happy, PEACHES is the more social butterful and PUDDIN' is more reserved.  They love each other and love to be with each other although they do play and interact with the other foster dogs in the home. PUDDIN' is 9 months old and 14 pounds.  PEACHES is 3 years old and 13 pounds.  They both like to cuddle and get head rubs but PUDDIN' lays on her back to get a belly rub.  PUDDIN' is also the one with the slight underbite that makes her look just that more special. PEACHES & PUDDIN' do not need to be adopted together but they would be very happy dogs to have another dog in the home to play and cuddle with. They already walk well on a leash and ride in the car without getting sick.  And on the plus side they are not yeppers, no barking or whining, just running around playing and kind of submissive.  I would love for them to be adopted together but to separate them there would have to be another playful dog already in the home that is interested in one of them.  Neither of them would do well as an only dog. Their activity level is normal, nothing hyper but they do love to run around the backyard playing with each other and toys. If you are interested in adopting PEACHES and/or PUDDIN', please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you for your interest. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 21, 2025, 10:07 am

Story
Meet Cindy Lou! Miss Lou joined our rescue just before Thanksgiving and is ready to find her forever family! she is 6 years old and fully vetted (spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines). Cindy has a cataract developing on her right eye, causing impaired vision. Cindy's adopters will want to make an eye appointment with the doggy ophthalmologist in Lancaster to determine a long-term care plan. She is the sweetest pug you'll meet - she is a sill girl and absolutely adores a good booty scratch. While she hasn't met cats or children yet, she does well with other dogs and enjoys having furry friends around. Cindy is also quite the little detective - she will happily investigate every inch of your home and yard before settling into her favorite safe space: her crate. Cindy is crate trained and even prefers to eat her meals there. Cindy knows to potty outside when taken into the yard, but she's still working on being fully house trained so her new family will need to be patient. This smart girl navigates stairs with ease, walks nicely on a leash, and rides well in the car when harnessed. Cindy' ideal home is one where her people are home often, ready to give her the attention, structure, and encouragement she needs as settles into her new life. If you are looking for a loving companion who will fill your days with joy, Cindy Lou is your perfect match - Apply to adopt her today!

Story
Buster is a 2-year-old mixed pug breed weighing about 24 pounds, and he is exactly what you hope for in a “good boy”: funny, playful, and endlessly charming. He has that classic pug-mix personality—part comedian, part cuddle buddy, all heart. Buster loves to play and has a knack for making people laugh, whether it’s with his goofy expressions, happy wiggles, or enthusiastic zoomies. He’s playful without being over-the-top and knows how to settle in when it’s time to relax. At two years old, he’s past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of fun-loving energy. He’s a friendly, social guy who enjoys being around his people and being part of the action. His manageable size makes him a great fit for many living situations, and his upbeat personality makes him the kind of dog that quickly becomes everyone’s favorite. If you’re looking for a compact, happy companion who brings humor, affection, and good vibes into your home, Buster is ready to show you just how good a boy he really is. Buster will arrive in Albion, NY in mid January and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico.
