Story
Welcome Chichi to CCPAL Rescue. Chichi is a 3-year old Chug (Pug/Chihuahua) dog. He weighs about 15 pounds. He was living in a family until something medical happened and they had to give up their dogs. Chichi is the dad of two litters of pups. Chichi looks more pug than the momma dog. There was another momma dog with pups and we took both litters. Tiny (one momma dog) has nursed both litters and been a very good momma. She is now ready for them to be weaned and she will be drying up. The puppies are eating solid food and drinking out of a bowl. He is sweet, affectionate and very much a lap companion. He is a gentle sweet soul and will make some lucky family a great companion. He is very happy at the Rescue and proud of his pups. He stands up on his back legs with his chest out like he is loud and proud. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is a quieter dog and a nice home would be one where she could be the lap companion he wants to be. He is good on leash. Due to her quieter nature, we think he would be fine in a shared wall like condo with a smaller yard. He won’t need tons of exercise to be happy. He is a wonderful dog and we are fortunate to be finding him a forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally, or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Always wanted a Pug or a Chihuahua? Now you can have both - all wrapped up in one small, adorable package named Layla.  This cutie loves to be playfully chased by people or other canines. She does well in doggie daycare or at home, where in true pug fashion she follows her foster everywhere. Layla is smart and learns routines quickly. So whether it's mealtime, or time to join her foster siblings in their pen for bed, Layla knows what to do. She is pee pad trained and affectionate. She adores a good belly rub and sometimes jumps up asking to be held. At these times Layla enjoys being in her foster's lap and having her soft tan fur stroked. She's loads of fun, often barking little woo woos at her foster when addressed, or when she wants something. The two have entire conversations together. This is a young, playful pooch who loves toys of all kinds. She can possibly be an only dog, but would be happiest in a house with at least one small or medium sized canine companion. Although Layla has been missing an eye since puppyhood, it doesn't bother her when navigating, or playing with other pooches. So if you're seeking a pet who can melt your heart and make you laugh, Layla is The One. Apply to adopt her today!
