Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Let's Go MONA!  I just found out that MONA loves to ride shot gun!!!  It is so funny watching her propped up again the front seat window looking out enjoying her ride.  She does not want to ride in the back seat, she wants to see what is going on!!! Oh do not mind MONA's gruff look, she just doesn't do well in pictures but she is a love bug.  She is a pure-breed pug about 4 years old and 20 pounds (she could stand to lose a few pounds) and really as sweet as she can be. MONA is very loyal and low maintenance on a daily basis.  She puts herself in her crate for naps and is potty trained.  MONA gets along with all of the dogs in the home, walks well on leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  She is also very quiet, not a barker or a yipper.  There is no aggression or destruction of anything. MONA and what I think is her daughter ROSIE was found at a dump site just sitting there waiting for their owners to return to get them.  They were very happy to be saved and both have been good girls.  ROSIE is also available for adoption, they do not need to be adopted together.  We believed they were used for breeding and then tossed away like trash.  They do not deserve this, they really deserve a good home to show them love. If you are interested in adopting MONA, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         June 26, 2025, 8:26 am

Story
Welcome Nutz to CCPAL Rescue. Nutz is a 3-year-old Chug (Chihuahua/Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He is a quieter dog and likes to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that is more quiet and wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Frank talk about Frank Frank is a young adult puggle (pug/beagle mix) who hales from a background of extreme neglect. He was offered to the rescue as an afterthought, “Hey, do you want to take him, too?”, when a family surrendered a mom & pups who were in poor condition. Frank had spent his life outside, in the driveway, without affection, attention, or even a name. Despite this, Frank is: exuberant, happy, loving, plays well with all dogs, licks his foster mom’s cats, gentle with puppies. He is not the brightest bulb. Lots of patience & repetition is required to curb his enthusiasm for sharing his thoughts when crated. He must be crated when (& before) feeding as he wants not just his food, but everyone else’s too. At first he did not want to go in the backyard for more than 5 seconds, but he is now comfortable zooming with his buddies outside. He is so deserving of a second chance home of his own that treasures him for his unbreakable upbeat spirit & boundless capacity for forgiveness & love. Attributes: Housebreaking in progress. Double bag with belly wraps Crate trained with verbal protests (decreasing) Goofy & loving Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Always wanted a Pug or a Chihuahua? Now you can have both - all wrapped up in one small, adorable package named Layla.  This cutie loves to be playfully chased by people or other canines. She does well in doggie daycare or at home, where in true pug fashion she follows her foster everywhere. Layla is smart and learns routines quickly. So whether it's mealtime, or time to join her foster siblings in their pen for bed, Layla knows what to do. She is pee pad trained and affectionate. She adores a good belly rub and sometimes jumps up asking to be held. At these times Layla enjoys being in her foster's lap and having her soft tan fur stroked. She's loads of fun, often barking little woo woos at her foster when addressed, or when she wants something. The two have entire conversations together. This is a young, playful pooch who loves toys of all kinds. She can possibly be an only dog, but would be happiest in a house with at least one small or medium sized canine companion. Although Layla has been missing an eye since puppyhood, it doesn't bother her when navigating, or playing with other pooches. So if you're seeking a pet who can melt your heart and make you laugh, Layla is The One. Apply to adopt her today!
