Opal is a sweet 1-year-old Pug mix with a gentle personality who absolutely LOVES belly rubs and scritches. She is a soft, extremely affectionate girl who enjoys being near her person. She would do best in a calm, reassuring environment where she can take things at her own pace until she feels confident to open up. Once she feels safe, she loves to play and cuddle. Opal is crate trained, does well in a car, and is great with other dogs her size and smaller, though behavior around large dogs or cats is unknown. She's progressing quickly in learning how to sit and control her impulses as she can be quite pushy and jealous for those belly rubs! She will be your loyal right-hand girl, your shadow, and your best friend! Note: although mostly potty-trained, Opal still has some accidents in the home. She will use pee pads and once she learns her new routine and settles in, she is much better at controlling herself. She will need a patient, understanding owner as she continues to learn.

Gunner is the ultimate lapdog. Wherever you sit, he will find you and curl up on your lap. He loves people and other dogs and always welcomes company. He has never, ever bitten despite living among two toddlers and two teenagers, though he will growl when swinging his toys around! He loves fetching and tugging. He has big bursts of energy, but not much stamina. He will be ready to settle down after 15 minutes of running. We are moving to a home that won't have a yard suitable for a pup and hope to find a new family for him to love. He is up to date on his shots save for some boosters and we have his neutering scheduled for later in the month.

Gouda is a playful puppy Like all pups his age, he is curious, friendly, and full of joy! He was rescued with his sibling and mom from a house that had too many animals....and now he is safe and ready for a forever home.

 He is with a professional trainer who used to work here at Tracy's Paws and he now has down the basics! Please watch his video. He loves to explore, play with toys, and snuggle in your arms. In true Pug fashion, he’s clever and eager to learn. He would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of playtime, attention, and love. Gouda tested negative for Chagas but he is too young to be tested for heartworm. Heartworm testing is routinely done around 7-8 months old. Meet Beetle! Hes 14 lbs and apx 3 yrs old and came from our local Hondo, TX shelter. He is heartworm and Chagas negative. He is from our local Hondo shelter. Unwanted. And I cannot understand why?! He gets along with all other dogs after a warm up period with some males... and he loves people. He would do well in just about any setting.

Meet the sweetest attention hog ever, Senora! She is a 4 year old Bulldog mix. Senora was pulled from a home where she was used for breeding. Her life was a small wire cage. No access to fresh food, water, or outside time. When Senora came to us she was covered in fleas, her ears and skin were badly infected, and she was infested with intestinal parasites. Today she lives a happy and healthy life! She is now leashed trained and potty trained. There are still many things about this world Senora does not know, but she is thrilled to learn. While Senora is dog friendly, she would thrive in a home as an only pet. She has been through so much in her 4 years of life and deserves to be the queen bee of the house!

However, based off of this resilient girl’s personality, you would never know. Etta is incredibly loving and playful. She is dog and cat friendly, and people friendly of all ages! We are working on leash training and potty training. There is so much about the world that Etta doesn’t know, and she is excited to learn!
