Story
It may not be Vermont but it sure is Stick season! This adorable 2-year-old Chihuahua mix is named after her one ear that sticks up, ready to hear all that the world offers. Stick hasn`t quite discovered the joy of playing with sticks but laps, cuddles and treats are the way to her heart. Stick has shown that while she loves her people, she doesn`t quite love to share her space, so she`d do best as the only dog in your home where she can rule your heart! Despite this, she`s made doggy friends before and may be able to again -- so don`t rule out doggy pals just yet.Stick the sweetheart is eager to please and can`t wait to be in a home where she can play all day and cuddle all night. Ready for this sweet girl to be in the Top 40 of your heart? Come by to meet her today!

Story
Puppy Chulo found himself at the  shelter when his person passed away, luckily he had the company of his canine brother to cuddle with. He is about 4.5 years old and 17 pounds. Puppy Chulo is very friendly with people, other dogs, cats and kids. He has a toddler foster sister that sometimes becomes too much for him, but   he just go to his safe place, his crate, where she knows she has to leave him alone. He loves to run and play with his brother or other dogs, but also loves to sit in a lap, or to spend time just laying in the sun. He is a barker, but listens when told to stop. He is potty trained and leashed trained. Chulo can be a picky eater. He loves car rides, trips to the pet store, meeting people, camping trips, participating in dog races, in fact - you name it and he is game to try it out. Puppy Chulo will provide his family with tons of entertainment. If Chulo is not adopted with his brother, we think he could do OK as an only dog if not left alone too often, and if he gets regular visits to the dog park. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Puppy Chulo is $300. Story
We love Grin's crooked smile  and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed in the family bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and   another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Grin walks well on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he would not at this time do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). Grin would be fine in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. He is fine with visiting children. If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.   Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs.
