Meet Chapo the frenchie! This darling boy came to us from our local shelter after he was surrendered by his family, who couldn't keep him. Chapo is five years old and a mellow guy who likes to hang with his people. He's good with other dogs, but isn't super playful. Chapo would love an adult only home where he will get lots of love and attention. I adopted Isabella from Little Love Rescue in Los Angeles in February 2018 after she was surrendered by a breeder in Malibu. She had several litters of puppies before she arrived at the rescue. After eight years together, my life and work schedule has changed where I'm not able to give her the extra attention and care she needs. She is about to turn 10 years old and requires a higher level of care, along with special food and management of arthritis in her hips. She gets daily cold laser treatments, three walks a day, and two feedings a day. She's very sweet, affectionate, and loves to play. But as she ages, I don't have the bandwidth to give her proper attention, especially with four other animals to care for. I'm looking for an adopter who has prior experience with French Bulldogs and their particular health issues as they age: digestion and mobility. Learn more hereLacroix is a 4-year-old, 32-pound Frenchie mix with a big personality packed into a compact, adorable body. Sweet and feisty, he loves human attention and is happiest soaking up pets, people-watching, or curling up for a snuggle. This curious boy is very interested in other dogs and can be vocal and excitable on leash. Volunteers have learned he can be persuaded with treats when he has strong opinions about where he'd like to go. Lacroix arrived with a neurologic condition called IVDD. He's made wonderful progress, and is now walking independently and enjoying his outings. Adopters should be prepared for activity restrictions and ongoing vet care to keep him feeling his best. This charming pup will thrive in a home ready to support his medical needs and help him channel his enthusiasm. We love Grin's crooked smile and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed on the bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. Grin needs an adult home. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He does need a home with a private yard or patio. Grin doesn't pull on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he does not do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). If you are looking for love, Grin may be the guy you are looking for. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs.
