Story
If you’re looking for a beautiful Boston with the pliability of a piece of pasta and a spunky senior who puts the high in high energy, may we suggest Noodle? Noodle is a nugget of doggy goodness who is just waiting to wiggle into her forever home for the holidays, and we simply couldn’t think of a peppier present to be waiting under your tree. While at Muttville, we’ve conscripted her to be a photographer’s assistant, so she’s been enthusiastically encouraging the other mutts to strut their stuff with helpful tips. Is she responsible for some of the best photos on our website? That’s a bit subjective, but you know what isn’t? The fact that this lovely lady would be an excellent addition to your family. Here's some notes from her foster: If Noodle soup is one of the ultimate comfort foods, then Noodle the dog is one of the ultimate comfort dogs. She bounds with enthusiasm to greet you, wiggles in excitement about getting pets, snuggles in close on the couch for warmth, and jumps for joy about meal time. She is the definition of joy and such a light in the dark days of winter! A few key things to know about Noodle: She is aptly named Noodle because she loves to wiggle! Noodle gets so excited, she loves to plop down on a rug or couch and wiggle with her feet in the air. She LOVES if this also results in belly rubs. She loves her walks! She has great energy and would love to accompany you on long walks and multiple walks per day. Right now we do a long morning and evening walk and then a potty break midday and before bed. Noodle is also great at stairs! Up and down. She is great about going to the bathroom outside. Whether on leash or in our small yard she goes promptly. She gets along fantastic with our resident dog. Noodle does tend to do excited "nose to nose" intros, which can be a bit much on first interaction for some mutts, but we found after some quick hellos she doesn't persist in her enthusiasm. She's likes to curl up on the couch or a bed with him. We haven't seen any bed, human, or resource guarding in our home. We've left her alone for short periods of time (~30 minutes max so far) and she was pacing for a short amount of time before settling down for a nice snooze. She likes to be included around the house - whichever room you're in, she wants to be in. She won't be underfoot necessarily, but she'll often just jump on the couch, or the dog bed in that room and keep an eye on things She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in the bedroom. If she can snuggle into a blanket on the bed, all the better. She'll sleep in until you wake her. Noodle does fantastic in the car - jumps into the back seat. Sits and looks out the window, or lays down. Doesn't make a peep. We've taker her to a cafe and a pet store so far and she was a perfect customer. We can't say enough great things about how much Noodle keeps us laughing throughout the day. She's an adorable energetic senior who is ready to be your adventure companion!

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $700 Meet Beanie Baby, a 2–3 year old, 24 lb Boston Terrier mix who is truly the epitome of derpy charm. This sweet, calm little guy will snort and snore his way straight into your heart and happily stay there. Beanie Baby is the kind of dog who is content to do whatever you’re doing — as long as it includes a few reassuring pats and pets throughout the day.   Beanie Baby has a wonderfully easygoing personality. He isn’t demanding or pushy, and while he enjoys being around his people, he’s not a velcro dog. Most of the time, he snoozes peacefully in his dog bed, but every so often he’ll wander through the house to check in on each family member. If someone gets up, he may follow along out of curiosity, but never in an anxious or over-the-top way. He’s just making sure everyone is where they should be.   He has excellent house manners. Beanie Baby knows how to use a dog door and appears housebroken. He did mark a few spots during his first few days in foster care, likely where other male dogs had previously marked, but that behavior resolved quickly. For several days now he has had no accidents indoors and reliably goes outside, especially first thing in the morning, to take care of business.   A typical day with Beanie Baby starts around 8 AM. He heads out into the yard to do his business, enjoys a little breakfast, and then goes for a walk. After that, he settles in for a long, happy snooze while his people go about their day. He’s perfectly content sleeping nearby while you work on the computer, often parking himself right at your feet, or quietly hanging out in the yard while you do yardwork. In the evening, he enjoys another walk, dinner, and then bedtime around 10 PM. At night, he sleeps in a dog bed next to the bed and won’t wake up until you do.   On walks, Beanie Baby is a delight. He’s good on a leash, doesn’t pull, and isn’t reactive. He’s calm, steady, and happy to stroll along at an easy pace. He’s not particularly interested in toys, but he does enjoy gnawing on a bully stick from time to time.   One of his most endearing qualities is the little snorting sounds he makes when sniffing his food or searching for the perfect spot to potty. It’s impossible not to smile at his funny noises and his adorable little tongue that often sticks out. Beanie Baby can have some acute breathing issues (as brachiocephalic dogs often do) and his foster has learned that keeping a collar off him makes a big difference. Once the collar was removed and as the discomfort from his surgery subsided, his mood and energy level noticeably improved, revealing a brighter, happier dog underneath.   Beanie Baby is a mellow, affectionate, quietly hilarious companion who brings warmth and gentle joy wherever he goes. He doesn’t ask for much — just a comfortable place to nap, a couple of walks, and some loving reassurance throughout the day. Anyone lucky enough to welcome Beanie Baby into their home will gain a truly special little character and a loyal, lovable friend.January 1, 2026, 11:35 am

Story
Meet Calvin, a one-year-old Boston Terrier sweetheart whos looking for a soft place to land and a family to adore. Calvin is a little different from other dogshe has a neurologic condition that gives him an adorable head tilt, some facial tremors, and a unique wobbly way of standing and walking. But what hasnt changed is his gentle, affectionate, people-loving personality. Calvin is happiest when hes right beside you. Hell gladly hobble over for cuddles, settle in next to you during the workday, or soak up all the pets youre willing to give. Despite his limited mobility, hes fully potty trained and patiently waits for his outdoor breaks. Hes been blossoming more every day in foster care and is starting to show just how sweet and trusting he truly is. Calvin would thrive in a calm home where he can relax, be carried when needed, and spend his days near his humans. Hes low maintenance, incredibly loving, and just wants to be someones special little companion. If youre looking for a tender, gentle soul to share your heart and home with, Calvin will be the perfect match. Story
We love Grin's crooked smile  and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed in the family bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and   another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Grin walks well on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he would not at this time do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). Grin would be fine in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. He is fine with visiting children. If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.   Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Grin is $200. If you are interested in adopting Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ December 21, 2025, 3:38 pm

Story
We know you’ve come to Muttville to find the perfect addition to your family, but if you also think that your sleep could be better, we have a little lady here that may be able to help with both! Sweet senior Sally is a snug (short for snuggly pug) whose snorts, breathing, and other pug sounds make for a splendid ASMR soundtrack. While Sally won’t be competing in any races (unless it’s falling asleep the fastest, she’s a gold medalist in that one), she also enjoys toddling around to explore the outside world. Sally really shines as a lap warmer though, there’s nothing she’d like better than to cuddle near someone for a snooze, and maybe some gentle scratches. Could you use a Sally in your life? Here's some notes from her foster: Sally is such a great pup. She loves to snooze and snuggle and can be hilariously pushy about your cuddle position. She has been a mom and you can tell she is the boss and in charge. She's potty trained and has had no accidents. She's very efficient when we go outside. She loves her food and it's her favorite time other than her morning, afternoon and evening naps. She does breathe loud, snores and has the cutest little bark. She loves all people; friendly, tolerant and bossy with other dogs; and was very respectful to my aunts cat.

Story
Are you looking for a forward Frenchie to add some pizzazz to your new year? New year, new you, and this version of you can be the owner of a beautiful brown baby with an absolutely adorable pair of bottom buck teeth. This amorous senior can come on strong when meeting other dogs, but his overwhelming snuggles are just what the doctor ordered if you’re feeling a little down. To grab Boston’s attention, we’d recommend snagging some tasty treats – this lovely lad is very treat-motivated and certain to become fast friends with the holder of the bag. And we’d remiss if we didn’t mention the grunty, snorty ASMR that comes with the breed, providing a great white noise soundtrack. Come take a trip to Boston!
