My dog is a very friendly dog but she has to get to know the person, she doesn’t bite. When I take her out and there is dogs around she starts barking but she is friendly with other person. She is very smart and has a good dog instinct and she protects the house.

Story
Siren is a calm, gentle, quiet girl who joined us from rural Kentucky. It appeared she had had very little human interaction when joining BAARK last year, but with time and patience, she has come out of her shell and has become a little more confident….but does have a ways to go. Siren is definitely a Mix Breed, possibly a Beagle-Heeler, with other breeds sprinkled in! She’s an estimated 32 lbs. born in January of 2021. This sweet girl enjoys the company of other dogs in her foster home, but prefers calm dogs. She can become startled by loud noises and quick movement but as her confident continues to grow, such things will likely not bother her. Siren is most likely to thrive in a quieter household consisting of adults. But older children, respectful of animals, would be good for Siren as well. She’d really enjoy the companionship of a calm, possibly older dog too. A secure fenced yard is also a plus. Siren is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. She is believed to be housebroken as well. Meet Cash: A Gentle Soul Ready for His Forever Home 🐾 Cash is a sweet and resilient boy, likely a Beagle mix, with the classic Beagle charm and a uniquely soft coat—possibly shaped by a past of neglect and poor nutrition. Despite everything he’s been through, Cash’s spirit shines bright. He was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, where he was found chained to a tree in the backyard—isolated and forgotten. Though the rescue team was originally there for a group of Chihuahuas, they couldn’t leave Cash behind. While they couldn’t keep him, we welcomed him with open arms and have been helping him heal ever since. 💛 Personality & Temperament: Cash is incredibly friendly and affectionate. He adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He thrives on companionship—whether it’s playing with his canine pals or simply lounging in the yard. He’s happiest when he’s near his person and loves curling up at the foot of the bed at night. 🏡 Home Life & Habits: - Estimated age: 6 years - Weight: ~24 lbs - Housebroken (with occasional reminders) - Crate-friendly but doesn’t need one - Calm and trustworthy when left alone 🔊 Breed Notes: Though Cash is a Beagle, he’s surprisingly quiet. That said, due to his breed’s natural tendencies, we don’t recommend apartment or condo living. Story
Meet Lilly a sweet, gentle Beagle/Hound who joined us a few months ago, along with two of her sisters, all confiscated from a hoarding situation. She is just over a year old (est DOB 12-05-2023) and weighs about 28 lbs. In her foster home, Lilly is working on her social skills and, learning to become a dog! She enjoys playing with other dogs, and prefers to be with dogs, over people. Lilly may be ok with older children (over age 12) But she especially enjoys being with another dog. Lilly is looking to become part of a family that is patient, compassionate, and loving, and to living her best life in an environment that is calm and not overly hectic. Beagle/hound experience is a big plus. Because she enjoys being outside, a secure fenced (above ground) yard is very important to her. Lilly is not disposed to being an apartment dweller or living in a condo. She likes to bark and such environments would not be appropriate for her. Lilly is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped.
