Story
Hi I'm Merlin! I'm a little shy but once you get to know me I'm as sweet as can be. I'm around 6 years old and 45 lbs, and I would do best with a simple, routine life without too much excitement. In fact, I could spend almost all day on the couch with my head on your shoulder. I am vision impaired but once you help me learn where everything is, I do just fine navigating on my own- I'm even crate trained and enjoy having a crate as my "home base". I am perfect with cats and dogs, and would really love a dog friend to help me continue building my confidence. I do need a fenced in yard at my forever home, being on leash is tough for me until I feel super safe and secure. If you're a homebody with a little bit of patience and a gentle soul, I would be the perfect companion for you and I am sure to give you all the love you'll ever need.   All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   February 19, 2026, 11:17 pm
