Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌲💛 Meet Forest — The Puggle With the Snuggles! 💛🌲 (2 Years • ~25 lbs • Certified Good Boy) If you’ve been wishing for a dog who’s equal parts adorable, cheerful, snuggly, and slightly goofy in the BEST possible way… congratulations, you’ve just found Forest — the Puggle who brings sunshine, tail wags, and pure serotonin everywhere he goes. At 2 years old and around 25 pounds, Forest is the perfect “I fit anywhere” size — couch? Yes. Car seat? Absolutely. Your lap even when you just sat down with hot coffee? Oh, 100%. This fawn-colored sweetheart has a warm expression that could melt the polar ice caps and a personality that says, “Hi, I love you, what’s your name, do you have snacks?” He’s friendly, charming, and convinced that every human and dog he meets is his new best friend. 🐾 Forest’s Favorite Things: • Walks where he can sniff 92,000 smells per minute • Treats (your fingers may or may not become “bonus treats”) • Being included in anything — chores, TV time, folding laundry, life decisions • Wagging his whole butt, not just the tail • Making people laugh with his joyful Puggle antics Forest is housebroken with the help of a dog door, kennel trained, and an easy, happy companion in the home. He floats through life with the spirit of a tiny golden retriever trapped in a Puggle body. He recently completed heartworm treatment (fast-kill, immiticide), and he’s expected to test negative at his next check — meaning he’s ready for his fresh start, his forever family, and hopefully a spot on your couch. He’s great with other dogs and wonderful with kids! Cats? Well… they’re still a mystery, but at his size and temperament, he’s likely to be more “confused friend” than “villain.” 🌟 Forest’s Stats: • 2-year-old Pug/Beagle mix • 25 lbs of happy wiggles • Housebroken + kennel trained • Friendly, playful, loyal, and easygoing • HW treated and ready for a healthy future • Good with dogs + kids • Cat status: to be determined (he's optimistic) He is currently with a neighboring rescue partner — we work together to save as many lives as we can — and we will happily pull him into Hay Dude Rescue to complete his adoption. Story
Meet Alice! Alice is a female chihuahua mix weighing in at 7 pounds. She is on the search for her fur-ever home! Alice was born in September 2019 which makes her just over 6 years old now. Poor Alice was not treated well prior to coming into rescue. It is believed she was used as a breeder dog at a backyard breeder. She has come a long way since being with her foster family. Alice needs to be treated like the queen she is- she deserves the finest things in life! She is a fun-loving little gal, but has to live life on her terms. A few things to know about Alice: she really is not fond of other dogs, unless they are little and leave her alone, but even then, she can be cranky with them. That being said, it has been determined that Alice should be the only dog in her new home. She will need an adult only home, no kids at all. Alice also needs time to get to know new people- all of her vets talked to her first, walked around the room so Alice could go to know them, then they would pick her up and she was okay with that. Alice doesn’t like people sticking their face in her face. She should be in a home without children but is good with adults who know how to handle her and be respectful. Alice is a good eater and not fussy when it comes to food. She likes car rides- her foster family has a seat that they buckle her into but it sits on the console in the middle of both adults and Alice really seems to love that! Due to her arthritis, she should go to a home without steps; she can’t go up stairs on her own. Her foster family has a ramp but most of the time they carry her outside to go potty and carry her back inside. She should be carried or have a stroller, as she should not walk that much, except for going potty and around the yard. As she gets older, she will need more care as she will develop severe arthritis, so maybe pain meds, anti inflammatories, maybe a cart; for now, she can get around and at the times she cannot, her foster parents carry her and/or use a stroller. Will you be the one to give a gal who hasn’t had a good start to life the best possible life from this point on? Alice’s adoption donation is $300. She is available for adoption in the midwest region, which is comprised of: OH, KY, IL, MI, WI. This cutie is Chance! Chance is a 7 year old, 14 pound male chihuahua mix in need of a forever home. Chance has white and cream fur, the cutest floppy ears, and a great smile! Chance is very playful and loves to wiggle and squirm around. He can be a bit nippy at first when he’s scared and can be a little slow to warm up, but once he trusts, he is the perfect companion. Chance is the perfect mix of energetic and snuggly. Even his foster mom’s resident chihuahua, who usually isn’t a fan of other dogs, loves Chance! Chance is housetrained. He is also up to date on all vaccinations and has been completely vetted. He has been neutered and microchipped as well. He is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention.
