Story
Hi! I'm Moody Blue! Did someone say car ride?!?!      This goofy little girl is looking for her happily ever after.  She is about 2 years old, 45lbs and a unique mix of beagle/pit. This sweet and quirky pup is guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Moody Blue is always ready for an adventure as long as she is with her people. She loves long walks, (bonus points if she can flip over on the grass and stratch her back.) and is always ready for a car ride. Moody Blue is a BIG advocate of cuddling any time of day and her foster mom thinks she may have won an award for cuddling in the past.  Moody Blue knows a few basic commands, and is potty trained and crate trained. She loves kids, and is good with dogs. She is interested in cats but does live with one in her foster home. She is also crate and potty trained. She is a sweet fun loving girl who deserves to find her forever home! Adoption fee is $200. She is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   July 24, 2024, 12:28 pm

Story
Introducing Chettering, the irresistible 2-year-old beagle mix with a sunny disposition and a tail that never stops wagging! This charming canine charmer is on a quest to find his forever family who can match his enthusiasm for snuggles and playtime. He is named after Charles Kettering because he was wandering in Kettering for over a month!  Chettering is not just your average pup—he's a master at making friends with both humans and dogs alike. His social calendar is always full, whether he's sharing toys at the dog park or cuddled up on the couch with his favorite humans. When he's not busy being everyone's best friend, Chettering showcases his impressive skills: he's potty trained (no accidents here!) and has mastered the art of sitting like a true gentleman (with the occasional adorable tilt of the head for extra cuteness). Looking for a companion who can bring endless joy and laughter into your life? Chettering is your guy! Come meet him and see for yourself why his tail wags at the speed of light whenever he sees a potential new friend.  Chettering is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Story
Marky Mark is an approximately 9 year old beagle mix who, yes, is the lead singer of Marky Mark and the Barky Bunch! Not to be confused with Mark Walberg from the Funky Bunch. If you do adopt Marky Mark you will have full access and backstage passes to every concert that they bark at. This will include bus access while touring which is filled with all the good vibrations. (For legal purposes, Barky Bunch's band member Hector "The Booty Inspector" only sniffs other dogs, humans will not be affected.) When he is not on tour, Marky Mark loves to stay at home laiiiiiid back (with his mind on his money and his money on his mind, of course). He loves his orthopedic doggie bed. He is house and crate trained. He is claustrophobic and does not like cars or tight spaces, so you must be willing to share all aspects of your bed with this pop star. He would be best with a house that is calm, such as no children; his nerves are shot from all that touring. Marky Mark is so worn out from being on tour, he just wants someone to relax and watch tv with, although an occasional stroll around the neighborhood to check out his groupies is appreciated. The cutest thing about him is his front paws are pointed outward due to a genetic deformity, but it doesn't stop him from shaking his thang! If you are interested, please apply at pawpatroldayton.com. He comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. To celebrate the dog days of summer, we are having an adoption special on our adult bully/bully mixes which we suspect Marky Mark may have a bit of bully in him. Therefore his adoption fee will be $85. His adoption fee will return to 175 dollars on August 16th. PS if you work for Calvin Klein, please stop calling us. Marky Mark only wears SilverPAW, thank you. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Miss Minnie is still looking for a forever home! She is such a SWEET dog! She is about 8 years old, beagle possibly spaniel mix. She is house trained and good with other dogs. Not cat tested but she is so sweet we wouldn’t expect it to be a problem. She is completely utd and spayed. She is a calm girl with great house manners. She won’t even get up on couches or your bed, she is perfectly content with a comfy dog bed! She has the SOFTEST fur…on 90% of her body! She had a HORRIBLE skin condition when we first got her and she has had most of it clear up but the hair on her backside is still coming in slowly. The vet said she would most likely need to stay on allergy pills. She is currently being fostered near Dayton. Please apply at ohiobassetrescue.com and email ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com if already approved! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 21, 2024, 4:38 pm

Story
We have had Mac for many years. He is a very sweet dog, and still active in his old age He is terrific with kids. He needs a yard or space to roam as he loves being outside. He should be crated when left alone indoors (although he doesnt agree) . He doesn't like being confined to one area , inclemant weather, or fireworks. They cause him to whine and want to hide. We are rehoming him due to health issues with severe asthmatics in our home. Ideally, he needs to be with an experienced dog owner.

Story
Meet Ariel! Ariel is 6 years old. She was adopted from HART as a puppy but was recently returned because she snapped at a toddler when he surprised her. Ariel should go to a home with older children, probably 7 or 8 and up. We think she is a cattle dog/beagle mix. Ariel is the perfect dog! She is housebroken. She has wonderful house manners. She's not high energy, bouncing off the walls. Her foster mom says she is the best dog she's ever had. Ariel does not need to be crated and can be left out in the home when her people are not there. She gets along well with her 2 foster brothers who are smaller than she is. She loves to go for walks. Ariel is good about sleeping in her own bed as long as she is close to her people. She also loves to get into bed with her people when invited. Could you be the perfect home for this perfect girl? Please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org!
