Hi I'm Merlin! I'm a little shy but once you get to know me I'm as sweet as can be. I'm around 6 years old and 45 lbs, and I would do best with a simple, routine life without too much excitement. In fact, I could spend almost all day on the couch with my head on your shoulder. I am vision impaired but once you help me learn where everything is, I do just fine navigating on my own- I'm even crate trained and enjoy having a crate as my "home base". I am perfect with cats and dogs, and would really love a dog friend to help me continue building my confidence. I do need a fenced in yard at my forever home, being on leash is tough for me until I feel super safe and secure. If you're a homebody with a little bit of patience and a gentle soul, I would be the perfect companion for you and I am sure to give you all the love you'll ever need. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. This little guy was dumped out of a car near my home, & we rescued him with hopes of finding him a suitable forever home. He is VERY friendly/snuggly/playful, but extremely scared & shy at first. He exhibited behaviors that made me believe he was abused in his previous home, & he is scared of new people. He does not act aggressively whatsoever, he'll just hide under something and bark at you until he feels comfortable. For the first week he would only hang out with my son, & then he eventually learned to trust me & now he won't leave my side. He is missing several teeth on his lower jaw that the vet said likely could have been past trauma. He gets along great with my cats, but will sometimes chase them. He has a habit of getting into the trash can, but we've been working with him to stop that. He is still learning how to ask to go out to the restroom, but will use a puppy pad whenever he does go inside. He needs someone with lots of love & patience. Approx. 3-4yrs old.

She came to us as a stray from a local shelter. She is a very sweet and active dog who loves to run and play! She will need a home with a fenced in yard. Annie follows the other dogs in the foster home to go outside and potty, and she does very good in a crate when her foster family is not home. This is Deebo, a 4-year-old Beagle/Cavalier mix (born 12/22/21) with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He definitely leans more toward his Beagle side—he’s curious, expressive, and yes…he loves to bark. Deebo is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s close to his people. He loves being cuddled, soaking up attention, and will gladly spend time sunbathing in a warm spot whenever he can. He’s the kind of dog that wants to be part of your daily life and will make himself right at home beside you. This decision has been really hard for us. With two boys under 3, life has gotten very busy, and we simply don’t have the time and attention that Deebo truly deserves. He would do best in a home where he can get more one-on-one time, companionship, and consistency. We’re looking for a loving, patient home that understands his Beagle nature and will embrace both his sweet, cuddly side and his vocal personality. He has so much love to give.
