This is Andy and he comes to us seeking a forever home with patient adopters! Andy was running as a stray and all the signs are there that he had a difficult/abusive past. Andy needs his time to get settled in and get to know you, which is just a few days. He loves being near you, indoor life (especially couches), a yard where he can watch the birds and Andy loves to eat! Andy is approximately 4 years old and about 22 pounds. Billy is a very sweet but shy boy who barely escaped death with his buddy Butch. They were already in the euth room in a shelter in Texas, but fortunately we were able to pull them just in time. Billy and Butch were roaming the streets with a few other dogs when they were picked up by ACS. It has been a rough start to life for these two, but we are hoping they will find a wonderful family to show them that life can be good and not all humans are bad or scary. They are definitely bonded and must be kept together. Billy adjusted pretty quickly, but little Butch is frightened and less trusting and will take a little longer to warm up. Butch was so frightened when arriving to us, but who wouldnt have been. Picked up as a stray with his buddy, Billy. Taken to the shelter where he was minutes from losing his life. Then transported across the country with lots of other barking and frightened pups. It’s been a whirlwind of stressful events. But even so, Butch began to relax slightly after a few days and after a week he allowed us to touch him. It just takes a little time and patience. Billy warms up a lot faster, but with time these two will be a delightful addition to any family. We are looking for someone with the time and patience to bring the best out in this sweet boy who Wants so badly to trust and believe there is good that exists in this scary world. At not quite three weeks we are now receiving kisses from Butch. Both boys are vaccinated, neutered, flea and tick treated and microchipped. Hi! BURRITO here! I am a friendly male tiny 13 pound chihuahua/ miniature pincher mix (they think) that is 2-3 years old.I am crate trained and make sure to keep it clean so regular potty breaks are appreciated. I think I'd like to continue these good habits in my home by having that kind of structure. I like treats and will even stand on my hind legs to entertain you. I do like to jump on the couch and sneak a cuddle too. I've gotten used to the leash too. Chew toys are appreciated and help keep me out of trouble! I'm a curious dude and do have a fair amount of energy so lots of walks and playtime will be appreciatedI attended several public events and was told I was the star! I greeted everyone appropriately (my handler told them to let me sniff their hand first) and had no problems with the other dogs. And boy did I love those pup cups! I enjoyed rolling around in the grass had had a blast just being a dog. My tail was awaggin the entire time! I heard someone say I was a handsome dude and I knew it! Hey, confidence is good, right?My perfect home would have a fenced in yard to play. I'm a little guy, so respectful older kids are OK but active very small active munchkins make me scared. An adult single or couple who wants some cuddles would be fine too.I think you will quickly fall in love with me. I cant wait to find my forever family. Interested in a small breed pup who is a lover and a character and can be an adorable rascal! Meet Shaila! Shaila is an adorable 11 lb chihuahua with a face like a pug. She is only 11 months old but we dont think she'll get much bigger. She's cuddly, loves to be with her person, pretty much obedient at such a young age, and is doing great on house training. Shaila should be easy to train as she loves treats and play. She is a little shy when she first meets someone but with food and play she warms up quickly. Sje is fine with dogs her size and abit timid around larger dogs. Check out the video of Shaila playing with her little foster siblings. She would much rather be with you than her crate but she will go into the crate. Shailas perfect home would be with someone who is home much of the time and loves to cuddle and play. A fenced in yard would be great for play and potty opportunities.. Another little dog in the home would be fine but should be brought to any meet n greet to ensure the feeling is mutual.Shaila does have a skin condition similar to psoraisis, confined primarily around her face With the proper diet (no grains) and occasional steroids, her symptoms can be controlled.
