Story
Meet Ro, also known as Rosie! This 15 -year-old puggle may be up there in age, but she is still a very spunky and sweet girl. Ro loves to cuddle and explore, especially outside where she can sniff around and take in the world. The last four years in life, Ro spent most of her time in a crate with very little time outside of it. These days she still enjoys having a crate as her safe space, especially when it has a comfy bed and plenty of room. Ro is mostly deaf and does have some vision impairment, but she gets around just fine and still has plenty of personality. She’s a little spunkball who enjoys life at her own pace. She does well with other dogs and cats as long as they respect her space, and she has been great with young kids when they are gentle and respectful. Ro is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years with lots of snuggles, fresh air, and kindness. Apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com ❤️ Kennel license 9117 Reading Pa 19608

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Layla is a shy, gentle dog who will need a patient family willing to earn her trust and work with her at her own pace. She would thrive with another small dog in the home and needs a securely fenced yard to explore safely. Layla is good with cats but is not recommended for a home with young children. With time, love, and consistency, she will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. REQUIREMENTS: Another small dog,  Fenced Yard Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Local Surrender Pa 5254 HEY! I'm super Coop! YOLO!Check out my cool stripe~ wait, no ... I hope this bio reading finds you well. Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Coop, a gentleman dog of 7 years, hoping you'll take my paw in ownershipno, that's WAY too formal, Coop. OK, one more time: I'm just a regular dog who's a little down on his luck. I was adopted some years ago, but then my family started renovating the house. It felt like they would never stop letting workmen in! It was so noisy that it really stressed me out. I let them know I wasn't happy, but the other dog in the house was just fine, and they have lots more renovations planned. So now I'm back with Wags, all 35 pounds of me. I need a quiet home (or at least quiet -ER), some time to decompress, and some work on house manners. Your reward? Puppy kisses, tail wags, snuggling, loyalty, I bring it all to the table. I am dog friendly with slow introductions, cat friendly, and kid friendly. I do well in the crate. I'm small enough to be manageable, but big enough that you won't feel like I'm not a real dog's dog, knowwhatimean? Plus, I have that cool stripe! What do you say? {pants endearingly} You, me, the couch? Please say yes! Please visit our website www.wagsrescue.org to learn more about this amazing dog and Wags Rescue.

Story
Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, because Frank (Tonka) is officially searching for the next circus (family) to join for the rest of his life. And when we say join… we mean ENTERTAIN. Frank (Tonka) is a 1 year old, 57 pound, male English Bulldog and is the closest thing to perfect you can get. He is everything bulldog lovers dream about: rolls for days, built into Frito chip air freshener, a heart of gold, and a personality so dumb it loops right back around to being brilliant. Let’s start with the obvious: the skin. This man has skin for miles upon miles. When Frank (Tonka) lays down, he doesn’t simply lay down. He melts. Watching him settle into a couch is like witnessing a magic trick where a bulldog slowly transforms into a puddle of squishy wrinkles. Gravity takes over and the rolls simply… obey. Now let’s discuss the brain. Frank's (Tonka) head is filled almost entirely with circus music and good intentions. One minute he’s on a mission across the room like he’s about to discover fire. The next minute he’s standing in the middle of the floor staring at nothing because he forgot what he was doing… why he was doing it… and possibly who he is. You can practically see the buffering symbol behind his eyes. Despite operating on approximately one shared brain cell, Frank (Tonka) is an absolute joy to live with. He makes people laugh constantly and approaches life with the enthusiasm of someone who just discovered the world five minutes ago. Think about this happening on repeat, all day long. Frank (Tonka) loves dogs and is very playful — but in classic bulldog fashion, he doesn’t always understand subtle social cues. If a dog tells him “no thanks,” Frank’s strategy is usually to circle back three minutes later just to make sure they didn’t change their mind. Because obviously they just needed time to reconsider. For that reason, any dogs in the home must be tolerant with annoying, brainless bulldog tactics. If he does not have a dog sibling, he will need continued socialization, play dates and even daycare to keep him the bestest version of himself. He also loves people and life as a whole. Truly. Everything is exciting. Everything is interesting. Everything might also be food. He will require ongoing weight management as his *goal weight* is 53 pounds. And while he is a world-class clown, he’s also a surprisingly easy and polite house guest: • Crate trained • House trained • Rides beautifully in the car • Generally a quiet, sweet boy • Always happy to snuggle but not pushy about it Medically, Frank (Tonka) is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and his cherry eye has been repaired. Now let’s have the responsible bulldog conversation: Bulldogs are incredible dogs, but they are also as expensive as they are yeasty. Anyone applying should be familiar with the breed and prepared for their potential medical and maintenance needs. Frank (Tonka) deserves a home that understands and loves the bulldog lifestyle. What Frank will bring to your home: • Endless laughter • A couch permanently covered in wrinkles • A best friend for your dog and family • Random mysterious missions that go nowhere • A face that makes you forgive everything Some lucky family is about to gain the squishiest court jester on earth, and whoever it is will quickly learn that life is simply better when Frank (Tonka) is wandering around the house forgetting what he was doing. And honestly… he probably forgot he was looking for a home too. But we’ll remind him. ❤️ www.zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Hi, I am Adalyn! I am a 5 year old female Boston terrier. I am sweet and I love affection, but I am very shy and hesitant with new people. It takes time for me to warm up when I meet someone, and even once I know them I can tend to startle easily. I love to snuggle with my foster mom on the couch and I follow her everywhere she goes. I’m a toy fanatic and will chew any toy and chase any ball! I also love to wrestle with my foster siblings. I would do best in a home with a confident dog to help me feel safe. I am not a big fan of the cats or small pets in my foster home - they are too fun when I chase them! I take medication daily to help with my anxiety. I’ve come a long way since I came to the rescue, and my medicine has made a big difference. I have a heart murmur that is stable and currently requires no treatment or special care. I am looking for a loving, patient, calm home with a dog companion. I would do best with adults only in the home, who can understand that sometimes I am a nervous nelly. Adalyn is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and up to date on flea/worm preventions. She is being fostered in southern lancaster county and interested adopters must be willing to come to her foster home to meet her. Story
Hello! I am Sprite! I am a 1.5 year old spayed female Boston terrier. I am a just a tiny little thing, at only 15lbs. I am happy-go-lucky, silly, playful, and busy busy busy! I was surrendered to the rescue from a farm, and I am learning all about life as a family pet. I am doing great with potty training, but it is a work in progress. My forever family will need to anticipate helping me finish learning. I am also working on learning what is a dog toy and what is not…I just LOVE to play and everything looks like so much fun! I like balls, bones, hockey pucks, and stuffies - but my favorite thing is hand towels! I don’t destroy the towels, but I love to shake them and roll around on the floor while wrapping myself up in them. I didn’t get a lot of 1-1 attention prior to the rescue taking me, and I am learning about being cuddled and loved. When I crash after playing, I like to lay on the couch with my foster mom. I have had eye issues in the past that left small scars on my corneas. I can see well in the daytime, and I get around well, but my foster mama jokes that I need glasses. Sometimes I trip over my toys, and it’s tough to find my ball after dark. Otherwise I am not bothered at all! My eyes are not anticipated to get worse, and I require no current treatments. I am very athletic and I can jump fences. My forever family will need to either always keep me on a leash outside, or have a fence over 5 feet so I can’t go over it. Currently I don’t know any obedience skills, but I am very smart and I would LOVE to go to puppy classes! My foster mama has started teaching me things, and it is so fun to learn! I love other dogs, but my go, go, go energy can be exhausting for my older foster siblings. I would love to be adopted into a home with another young playful dog like myself! My foster home also has cats and a rabbit. I get along with them, but I do need to be supervised since I will chase them if they run from me! If you’re looking for a fun, adorable, active new pup, I could be your girl! Sprite is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative, and up to date on flea/worm preventions. She is being fostered in southern lancaster county and interested adopters must be willing to come to her foster home to meet her.
