Meet Chauncey – A Sweet, Soulful Puggle Looking for a Soft Place to Land Chauncey is an 8-year-old Puggle (pug/beagle mix) weighing about 25 lbs, and he’s as charming and lovable as they come. With his expressive eyes, gentle demeanor, and love of cuddling, Chauncey is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. Chauncey is temporarily homeless through no fault of his own. His owner is currently hospitalized and may not be able to return home, leaving Chauncey in need of a new family to care for him. Despite the upheaval, he remains sweet, affectionate, and eager for connection. He is neutered and house trained, though after spending several months largely alone with only a doggy door and a neighbor stopping by once a day, he may need some gentle reminders and routine as he settles back into home life. He’s healthy overall, just overdue for a nail trim. Chauncey is dog-friendly, playful in a low-key way, and truly thrives on companionship. He loves being near his people, soaking up affection, and enjoying cozy time on the couch. He’s described as cuddly, loving, and very people-oriented. His experience with cats and young children is unknown, so any introductions should be slow and thoughtful. Given his gentle nature, he may do well with respectful kids, but we’d want to be mindful and set him up for success. Chauncey doesn’t need much — just consistency, kindness, and a home where he’s no longer alone. ❤️ This Little Nugget Needs a Forever Home! 🍗🐾 Chicken Nugget might sound like a snack, but he’s really the main course when it comes to love! This young, 35-pound Boston Terrier mix has come such a long way since arriving at the shelter. At first, he was a little unsure and feisty — the world can be a big, scary place when you’re not sure who to trust. But every day, he’s showing more of his sweet, gentle nature, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come. Now, Chicken Nugget is calm and easy to handle. He’s learning that harness time means adventure, not worry, and he’s a wonderful walking buddy. On leash, he stays relaxed and does well walking alongside other dogs. He also seems to do well with other pups overall — meet and greets are always required, of course, to make sure it’s the perfect fit. And there’s even more good news: Chicken Nugget may have the potential to live successfully with feline friends! He’s shown appropriate curiosity and behavior that tells us he could be a good match with the right cat and careful introductions. When you call him over, he’ll lean softly against your knees, soaking up every bit of love, and he’ll reward you with gentle, grateful kisses. He’s fully vetted, neutered, and ready to start the next chapter of his life — one filled with soft beds, kind words, and a person who’ll see the wonderful dog he truly is. Because while he’s gained confidence and calmness here, Chicken Nugget’s heart is waiting to belong to someone. He’ll do best in an adult-only home where he can continue to grow and feel safe. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving companion who’s overcome so much and still greets the world with a wagging tail.
