With his expressive eyes, gentle demeanor, and love of cuddling, Chauncey is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. Chauncey is temporarily homeless through no fault of his own. His owner is currently hospitalized and may not be able to return home, leaving Chauncey in need of a new family to care for him. Despite the upheaval, he remains sweet, affectionate, and eager for connection. He is neutered and house trained, though after spending several months largely alone with only a doggy door and a neighbor stopping by once a day, he may need some gentle reminders and routine as he settles back into home life. He’s healthy overall, just overdue for a nail trim. Chauncey is dog-friendly, playful in a low-key way, and truly thrives on companionship. He loves being near his people, soaking up affection, and enjoying cozy time on the couch. He’s described as cuddly, loving, and very people-oriented. His experience with cats and young children is unknown, so any introductions should be slow and thoughtful. Given his gentle nature, he may do well with respectful kids, but we’d want to be mindful and set him up for success. Story
Mochi is a 7-year old male Chihuahua Mix from Nevada. He is a very affectionate boy that loves people, playing, and going for walks. He is very good with kids and loves the attention. The reason we are looking for a new home for him is because we have a small child and an infant that cry all the time and we think their screams hurt his ears and he yelps very loudly and tries to hide. His yelps make the kids cry harder and their cries make him cry harder. We wish it wasn’t so but we think it gives him a lot of stress and anxiety and isn’t the right environment for him. He is a good boy that deserves a home that’s right for him with people that can play with him more often and provide a less stressful environment.

They are both spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, and they would thrive in a home that can offer patience, consistency, and lots of affection for both pups.
