Story
Lola is living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Lola is a 9-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to settle into a calm, loving home where she can soak up all the attention she deserves. She currently lives with two other dogs and does wonderfully with them indoors. Lola is fully housetrained and welcomes new people with a happy, wagging tail—she especially enjoyed all the extra visitors and affection during the holidays! Lola was surrendered due to a change in her family’s work schedule, not through any fault of her own. She’s a laid-back girl who would thrive in a relaxed home, who either has a fenced yard or a family committed to regular walks to help her health. Lola is working on a gradual weight-loss journey, so she’ll need someone who can help her stay active and stick to healthy, portioned meals. Since she’s very food-motivated, structure and exercise will be key to her success. One of Lola’s favorite party tricks is catching treats (but please limit them) tossed gently into the air—she’s always so proud to show it off! With her sweet personality, Lola is ready to be someone’s loyal, loving best friend. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. We only accept applications from Wisconsin. Greg was originally adopted over a year ago but his returned him recently. Greg is living in a foster home with 4 other dogs and is doing great! Greg loves his people and does well with the dogs in his foster home. He struggles initially with visitors, but with slow introductions and a family that is consistent with the boundaries bulldogs need, he adjusts fine. He’s a lovable lump, and just becomes a bossy bouncer to those he’s not sure should be admitted into his house. Greg has experienced IVDD as many frenchies do, so a home that has one level would help Greg keep his back safe. He can live with other dogs who won’t play rough with him or challenge him to do more than his potato body should. Frenchie are not beginner dogs so someone who knows and understands the breed is a must. Being a frenchie, preference will be given to those who are committed and experienced with this breed. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
My name is Rocko and I’m joining the Paddy’s Paws family as a local surrender. I have always lived with other dogs and have met the 5 dogs of all ages and sizes in my foster home just fine. My foster family will work on developing a crate routine and I'll get a break every 3-4 hours during a work day to make sure I have lots of time and attention. I have enjoyed their couch already and probably wouldn't fuss if you had stairs to help my potato body get up there, as I prefer to do it myself versus being picked up. Bulldog independence is important to me :) I am not yet neutered, but will be in foster. My new family will need to be patient with me being recently altered mature male. Those hormones need to subside so I can catch on to your routine! I am most definitely a bulldog with my squatty body and bulldog antics! To know them is to love them, and as bulldog owners know, they have a personality all their own and need guidance, structure, and tolerance for gas ;) My foster family also found out I likely have Idiopathic Epilepsy. This isn’t uncommon in my breed and is managed by medication. For this reason, I am looking for a family with Frenchie experience or bulldog experience. Interested in adoption?
