Story
Lola is living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Lola is a 9-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to settle into a calm, loving home where she can soak up all the attention she deserves. She currently lives with two other dogs and does wonderfully with them indoors. Lola is fully housetrained and welcomes new people with a happy, wagging tail—she especially enjoyed all the extra visitors and affection during the holidays! Lola was surrendered due to a change in her family’s work schedule, not through any fault of her own. She’s a laid-back girl who would thrive in a relaxed home, who either has a fenced yard or a family committed to regular walks to help her health. Lola is working on a gradual weight-loss journey, so she’ll need someone who can help her stay active and stick to healthy, portioned meals. Since she’s very food-motivated, structure and exercise will be key to her success. One of Lola’s favorite party tricks is catching treats (but please limit them) tossed gently into the air—she’s always so proud to show it off! With her sweet personality, Lola is ready to be someone’s loyal, loving best friend. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Meet Chalula 🌶️ — a devoted mama ready for her own fresh start. Chalula is a female Chihuahua mix who came to us from MADACC after arriving there with a male Chihuahua mix and her puppies. Her puppies were adopted while at MADACC, and now Chalula’s turn has finally come to find a loving home of her very own. Chalula is a sweet girl who truly enjoys people and appreciates gentle attention and companionship. She does well with other dogs and has been great with kids. While she hasn’t been cat tested yet, we believe she would likely do well with slow, thoughtful introductions. After giving so much as a mama, Chalula is ready to be someone’s cherished companion—enjoying comfort, love, and all the attention she deserves. 💕 All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Meet Tapatio 🌶️ — a little spicy, a whole lot sweet! Tapatio is a Chihuahua mix boy who came to us from MADACC after arriving with a female Chihuahua mix and their puppies. Now that his parenting days are behind him, Tapatio is ready to be the one doted on in a forever home of his own. While he has that classic Chi charm, Tapatio is a bit bigger than your typical Chihuahua and sports a truly unique look — an eye-catching color pattern across his back and one stunning blue eye. He’s definitely a mix… we just don’t know with what, and that only adds to his charm! Tapatio is a sweet, friendly guy who does well with other dogs and has been great with kids. He hasn’t been cat tested yet, but with slow and proper introductions, we think he’d likely do just fine. If you’re looking for a lovable companion with personality, good looks, and a heart ready for love, Tapatio might be your perfect match. 💙 All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Story
Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $400. Inquiries will not be responded to unless a completed application has been sent. You can fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org. You must fill out all of the blanks in the application - put "n/a" if one question is not applicable to you.
