Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Hi, I’m Oscar, a friendly young Ragdoll-mix male!  I enjoy human attention and like everyone I meet.  I love to sleep on my foster mom’s bed at night.  She describes me as “a playful, floppy sort of fellow, outgoing and goofy!” My pal Sterling and I are a bonded pair, and we need to be adopted together.  We've never been around dogs or children, but we get along great with other cats. I was born in approximately February 2024, have been fixed and am up to date on my shots. Please note: Oscar has chronically runny eyes as well as cherry eye, but these conditions do not seem to bother Oscar and his veterinarian has ruled out any infection. This is a Courtesy Post, and Oscar is in a private foster home in Pleasant Hill, California.  For more information, please contact Suzanne at suzannejo16@gmail.com. Please Note: This cat has not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cat’s status with the rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.March 15, 2026, 5:56 pm

We carefully review each application to find the best possible match.  Meet Lucy:She is the total package: gorgeous, affectionate, hilarious, and just a little bit dramatic. Her favorite hobby is bird watching from a safely screened window, where she takes her role as Neighborhood Wildlife Supervisor very seriously. When she’s not keeping tabs on local birds, she’s likely following her favorite humans from room to room because, in Lucy's opinion, life is simply better together. Lucy is incredibly people-oriented and loves being near her humans. Her signature move is the Welcome Home Belly Flop™. Leave the room and come back? Belly flop. Come home from work? Belly flop. Walk by and say hello? Another belly flop. It’s her adorable way of showing how happy she is to see you. She gets the occasional case of the zoomies, loves sleeping near her people, and is always happy to accept attention. Lucy does have one important request: she’d like to be your one and only cat. Other cats make her uncomfortable, and she’ll be happiest in a home without feline roommates. She may do well with a calm, respectful dog. If you’re looking for a beautiful cat with a big personality, a loving heart, and a knack for making you feel like the most important person in the world, Lucy is ready to meet you.Click here to watch a video of Lucy.July 11, 2026, 7:00 pm

Story
Bandit is a 3year old Siamese/Ragdoll little girl. Her 3 years have been full of different adventures. Bandit (formarly Rosy) was found with her brother in San Carlos. They were taken to Nine Lives to be spayed and neutered and were adopted but something happened. Bandit ended up on her own in a back yard. She wanted to come into a home but the resident cat was having none of that. So Bandit came to CIW. She is a great little girl who is current with her vaccinations. She also has a microchip. She is shy initially but comes around fairly quickly. She loves to watch the birds but doesn't want to hurt them. She seems to like ladies more than men but with patience accepts strokes from both. She is a great little companion for any home. Is your home the home for Bandit?? Please note: Indoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1783803638&src=aap]

Story
Gizmo (GG) is a five-year-old cat with a sweet and sensitive soul. While she was adopted without noted health concerns, I have observed that she may have a disability, such as partial blindness, which makes her fearful of sudden movements, loud noises, and new environments. Despite her anxiety, GG is incredibly gentle. Once she feels safe, she enjoys bird watching, exploring the house, and cuddling at the foot of the bed. She is even comfortable being bathed and dried, which demonstrates her deep capacity for trust. Currently, she prefers to stay in the bedroom during the day, typically only venturing out at night when the house is quiet. She is litter box trained, and I currently keep her box in my room to accommodate her comfort level. I believe GG would thrive in a quiet, low-stimulation home with a single owner or someone who works from home. She would likely do best in an environment without other pets or young children, where she can receive the patience and calm energy she needs
