Story
Princess is approximately 9 years old and came into my care after she was struggling to adjust to living with two huskies in her previous home. While the dogs were friendly and wanted to play, Princess preferred a quieter environment and spent most of her time hiding. Since I only had another cat, I took her in to give her a more comfortable place where she could feel safe. Princess is shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she is incredibly loving, affectionate, and enjoys cuddling. She has a gentle personality, loves playing with toys, and enjoys having her own space. She does not like being picked up and isn't very motivated by treats, but she forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. She is up to date on her vaccinations but has not been spayed. I am looking for a patient, loving home that will give Princess the time, space, and understanding she needs to continue thriving. She deserves a home where she can feel secure and loved for the rest of her years.

Story
Mesquite is very nervous and shy. He prefers to take things slow and get comfortable with people over time. He get nervous when meeting people but will almost always warm up to men easily. He get very shy and will tend to hide whenever possible while he gets to know people. Once he's comfortable he gets very cuddly and happy to see his owner. He likes to cuddle in the morning and at night and enjoy physical touch with people he trusts. He's also very docile and needs to be with his brother Udon. He will get very nervous and anxious without him. I've had him for 4 years since he was a kitten and I need to rehome him as my fiance is allergic and we are moving out of state.

Story
Beans is a precious 6-year-old male. He is a longhaired white and grey cat, I suspect Ragdoll/Norwegian Forest mix. He is physically healthy (just needs dental work) and takes Prozac for fighting, aggression, and fearful behavior around our other cats. It wasn’t always this way, the problems started when Beans and my other cat Louie moved in with my husband and his 4 cats. Louie adjusted, but Beans didn’t; we have tried so many things to make Beans happier like hiring a cat behaviorist and following recommendations. Not much has changed for 3 years so Beans is separated in his own space. My other cat Louie who hung out with him just died in April. We came to the conclusion that Beans may be happier in a home without other animals, and prevent the added shock of a military move in June. He is otherwise a sweet, playful boy when alone with his human. Beans is so loved, and we want the very best for him even if it’s not with us. Please help give him a different experience.

Good with cats,
Story
When Zelda came to the rescue, we had trapped her and 6 other kittens at the solar farm in Spotsylvania. Zelda is a beautiful cat who enjoys petting. She requires good grooming as her long fur tends to get matted. Zelda would thrive in an environment where she could get more individualized attention than we can give her at the rescue. Zelda gets along well with the other cats in the room. She's a relatively quiet and laid back cat. We feel that her personality would come out more if she was the center of attention as she deserves to be!! Contact AdvoCats at 540-419-5335 to schedule a Meet & Greet!
