Story
Harley  is  a sweet and loving senior boy!  He will follow you around the house and snuggle up with you on the couch for a movie or a book. Energy Level?  Calm House trained?  Yes, he doesn't mark.  However,  Harley is a senior boy, and during the day, he needs to be let out frequently (every 2 hours); otherwise, he'll have an accident.  We recently started him on urinary meds.  It's too early to tell if it's helping.  Belly bands are working when we can't let him out.  He can go all night without peeing. Describe how they are on leash?  Likes to lead but doesn't pull super hard Describe how they are with other dogs?  Fine, he will bark at other dogs while walking, but he wants to see them. He currently lives with the 2 other dogs in the house and is fine with them.  He is also happy to do his own thing. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  None Commands they know?  He knows to sit when waiting to be fed. He will come to you if you call his name. What are their favorite things?  Eating after his walk, going on walks, sleeping What do they need to work on?  Nothing really.  He's a good old boy.  How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  He is totally fine, just chills on the couch. Left alone for a few hours Where do they sleep?  Harley is very happy to sleep in his crate. What is their ideal home?  Someone who wants a loyal companion and company from having a dog in the house. This person would ideally be home most of the day to ensure he can be taken outside every few hours.  Harley   would be perfectly happy to lay on the couch next to his human all day long or go in the car or on a walk for some daily adventures. November 16, 2023, 12:18 am

Story
Olive was a rescued dog from Texas, she was abandoned near a hotel I was staying during training. Olive is a sweetheart and will thrive in a home where her owners are devoted to her care and are active. She is an adult rat terrier with high energy, intelligent, she loves to play fetch but also is a snuggle bug and can relax with her owners. We are looking to rehome her after determining that our home and lifestyle is not the best for her development.

Story
Meet the sweet and handsome Lil Bit. This photogenic little guy is a 6 ½ -year-old, 12-pound, tan and white, Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He has warm brown eyes and an inquisitive face. He can be a bit shy but will warm up to you, once he gets comfortable. His owner had to move in to assisted living and the family brought Lil Bit to AFC to find his happily ever after! He loves cuddling on the couch and will follow you anywhere. He is the perfect size to go everywhere you go. He walks well on the leash and rides well in the car. Lil Bit loves people more than other dogs and would enjoy being the only dog in the home. He gets along with other GENTLE dogs his size. Lil Bit absolutely loves doing ZOOMIES in the yard so please have a privately fenced yard to play with him in. He may need a little reinforcement housetraining (he is used to being walked to go potty) He follows the other dogs out with the command “Go Potty” He is extremely praise motivated and of course treats are nice! Lil Bit would do best in a home with adults to dote on him though he loves teenagers too. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is a wonderful companion and is waiting for a loving, furever family. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
This adorable litter came to us through an owner surrender after their dog got pregnant unexpectedly. They are around 6 months old and eager to find a family that will give them the attention they deserve. Since they haven't spent much time outside of their yard, they take a minute to warm up, but once they do, they are very sweet. According to the previous owners, these pups have been around children, dogs and cats and seem to get along just fine. They haven't had much training but are still young enough to start. This litter likes to get a little mouthy when they play so they might not be a good fit for children under 5. An adoption fee of $300 will cover the cost of their vaccines, microchip and spay/neuter. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
