In March 2025, WEACT rushed out before dawn after hearing that wildfires were rapidly spreading in the Gyeongnam–Sancheong area. With trucks loaded with water, food, and rescue equipment, the team headed straight into the fire zone. The fires quickly spread across Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Andong. Some dogs managed to escape, but many were tied up and couldn’t run away. Those dogs were trapped in the flames, unable to move even a single step. Some dogs collapsed after suffering severe burns. Others barely survived, escaping death by just moments, but still endured immense pain. That’s where we met WEACT Haemil.

MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines.
