Story
Penny was pulled from the shelter after she came in as a stray and during her stray hold she gave birth to 4 puppies. The puppies have all found great homes and now it’s Penny’s turn. She was definitely a street dog, running scared and never knowing what it is to have a place to call home. She was VERY scared and unfamiliar with having a safe/indoor home before being rescued. Thankfully her foster mom is experienced and was able to help Penny settle. She is slow to trust but once she is given some patience and love, she bonds and you have a friend for life. She is terrific with other dogs and cats. Kids, fine as long as they are older and able to read her to give her the time and space necessary to help her feel safe and not pressured. She has a fabulous snuggle tooth too!

Story
Hi I am a very sweet girl. The family that had me can no longer keep me they said they just don't have time for me. I climb the fence to get to the neighbor's yard where the boy dog got me pregnant. They were able to find homes for all of my puppies and could not Keep Me. So now I would love a home. I am a snuggle bug and really love people and other animals. I am pottypad trained and house trained. I do get along with cats too. Please text 714-882-9865 for more information and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms

Story
MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. To learn more about Millie (Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy), please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal email for donations and sponsorships).

Story
Sweet little Banjo has had such a HORRIBLE start at life, but you wouldn't know if from his sweet personality and temperament. He was saved as a tiny puppy from a hoarder house that had 59 dogs living outside in filth, over breeding. Then put in a kennel for the first 8 months of his life! We just couldn't let him stay there one more day as a kennel is no place for a dog long term, much less a puppy. He was saved w/his kennel mate from the same hoarding situation and are now in a foster home w/our trainer learning how to be inside dogs. They both are doing SO GREAT! Banjo is super playful and loves meeting new people and dogs on his walks (once he learned how to walk on leash). He's learning basic obedience commands, crate training and potty training and is doing amazing. He's scared of loud noises and is a bit timid around new things, but that is to be expected w/a dog that's had no socialization in the real world until now. We would LOVE for Banjo and Cowboy to be adopted together, but it's not required. We really do want Banjo to find a forever home w/another friendly, playful dog as he loves playing with all the dogs at his foster home. Apply to adopt Banjo today! He's really a special little soul that deserves the best life ever!
