MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. So, off to Forte we went where I'm being cared for by a nice foster mom, and I really like to hang with my people, kids, and any other dogs in the home. I've got a bit of wanderlust in me, so you have to be really careful not to let me get away, but otherwise I'm the perfect dog. Meet Skye! Skye is a 7-year-old terrier/dachshund mix who found herself looking for a new home after her previous owner could no longer care for her. This sweet, silly girl has so much love to give and will keep you smiling with her goofy personality and love for toys. Skye enjoys playing fetch, doing little zoomies around the house, and then curling up in your lap for snuggles and kisses. She can be a little shy with new people at first, but she warms up quickly and shows just how affectionate she is. She’s good with other dogs and older kids, and while she hasn’t had much experience with younger children, she may do fine with proper introductions. Skye is also working on her potty training—she spent long stretches of time in an apartment before coming to us—but she’s improving every day with the help of her foster. Skye does have some environmental allergies (she’s been tested), which may occasionally require an allergy shot to keep her comfortable. Otherwise, she’s in great health and ready to find her forever family.
