Story
MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. To learn more about Millie (Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy), please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal email for donations and sponsorships).

Story
I rescued Wednesday from the San Bernardino shelter in October, and she has blossomed into the sweetest little shadow. She is a 9lb, 3-5 year old cuddle bug who believes blankets are life and loves playing fetch with her stuffed She is a pocket-sized companion who knows basic tricks, walks beautifully on a leash, and absolutely lives for attention. If you want a dog who looks at you like you're the sun, this is her. Wednesday has a very high prey drive when it comes to cats. She fixates on my resident cat constantly, and despite our best efforts, she simply cannot share a home with felines. She needs a home where she doesn't have to worry about hunting the kitty. Her ideal match: - Strictly a feline-free zone. - She hasn't been around kids, but a calm home would likely suit her best. - She is about 90% potty-trained to go in the backyard. - Spayed, chipped, and all shots up to date.

Hunnicut is a sweet but scared rat terrier mix who comes to the rescue from Hesperia Animal Control where he was found as a stray and brought to the shelter by a citizen. He is looking for a calm and patient home that will give him the time he needs to gain some confidence and be able to enjoy a full life. Although he seems to be extremely shy with people, his tails wags when he meets another dog! If you are interested in opening your heart and home to Hunnicut please apply at ahome4everrescue.org

Click Here to Sponsor Me!  Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed.org/adoption-application   ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet.                                   Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed.org/adoption-process   Meet Little Boy! This sweet 4-year-old, 15 lb pup has been through a lot but hasn’t lost his loving spirit. He came to us after being hit by a car and left at a shelter with a broken leg. Now fully healed and feeling great, he’s ready to find his forever home! Little Boy is affectionate, playful, and a big fan of both people and other dogs he's properly introduced to. He clearly knew love before and is extremely affectionate with humans. He knows how to use a doggy door trained and he also understands basic commands like “lie down” and even picks up on phrases like “time to go to bed”—he’s smart like that! Like many rescues, he’s still working on a few things. He can be a bit of a food thief if snacks are left within reach and is working on his manners when on a leash when meeting new dog friends. However, with consistency and setting clear expectations, he’s happy to play and gets along well with confident, dog-savvy companions. With time, he will make a great dog sibling (like in his current foster home) Little Boy would do best in a secure home (he can be a bit of a Houdini!) so a home without a yard or if you have a yard, minimum 5ft fence. He may try to slip past you at the door and is quite skilled at wiggling out of a harness, so a slip lead setup and vigilance during transitions will be key. In return, he promises loyalty, entertainment, and lots of love. Apply to meet Little boy at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlSeptember 12, 2025, 11:57 am

Story
Meet Dexter, a 10 year old Jack Russell mix. Dexter has lived in his current home for 10 years and has seen many changes. Early in his little life a more aggressive dog joined their family who bullied him. This taught him to become possessive of his food and his toys to the point where he also became aggressive in how he deals with people or dogs who get too near. He has also gone from a home with a yard to a small apartment so he doesn't have much room to stretch his legs. Dexter enjoys being active with walks, runs and dog parks. He is cuddly and will curl up for a nap with you wherever you are. He doesn't mind baths and isn’t afraid of thunderstorms. The ideal family for Dexter is one that is active but that doesn’t have other dogs or small children. Does Dexter sound like the dog for you? If you’re interested in adopting Dexter Apply today @ www.pawsoflarescue.org/adopt!

Story
ALICE-Special Needs/Sponsors IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more. We are deeply grateful for help. To meet us, help us, or if you know people or businesses who would like to, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal Giving email address for donation and sponsorship). Mailing: The Nature Network Inc., 3826 Grand View Blvd., #66790, Los Angeles, CA 90066. All donations are used for our rescued animals. No funds are used for salaries, advertising, social media, or human expenses. All of us, including board members, are volunteers. Our veterinary references are available upon request. ALICE is a Jack Russell/Bull Terrier unusual mix. Alice is sponsorship only at this point, as she has damaged ankles and toes and her right eye needed to be removed. She was rescued from one of the Los Angeles City Animal Shelters just in time. She was slated for death because they claimed she was still on medication, which in fact she no longer was! Alice now receives cold laser treatment to her various joints every week which has enabled her to move about well and be able to walk more smoothly without the pain that she had before. Her treatment has also shrunk the swelling on her ankle joints. Her right eye was beginning to cause pain and no longer responding to 5 different glaucoma medications for over a year and had to be removed. Her remaining left eye is now healthier, and she can see out of it much better. Since Alice has damaged/deformed toes and feet, and missing her right eye, gets ongoing cold laser treatment, and various eye medications to keep her left eye healthy, we need sponsors who would like to help her.. To sponsor and know more about Alice and her issues, please contact: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal donation/sponsorship email address)
