❤️🐾 Three Little Boys With So Much Love to Give 🐾❤️ Sometimes, all a little dog needs is for someone to say, “Yes, we’ll help.” These three precious boys came to us from another rescue that had become overwhelmed with animals and reached out for help. When we heard that they needed somewhere safe to go, we couldn’t turn them away. So we opened our doors and welcomed these three little rascals into the Fur Baby Rescue family. ❤️ They are about six months old and are believed to be Rat Terrier mixes, possibly with some Chihuahua. They are absolutely adorable, and each one is full of life, love, and that irresistible puppy spirit. They are playful, happy, affectionate little boys who love being around people and other dogs. They would make wonderful family companions and would be great with children and other friendly dogs. They’d love going for walks, tagging along on adventures, sitting beside you at a coffee shop, or simply being your little shadow at home. They should remain small, around 12–15 pounds when fully grown, making them the perfect size for someone looking for a little companion with a big personality. ❤️ These boys didn’t ask to end up in rescue. They simply needed someone to give them a chance — and now that they’ve been given that chance, we’re hoping to find families who will love them, cherish them, and make them part of their lives forever. Every dog deserves a family to call their own. These three sweet boys are ready for theirs. 🏡🐾 If you would like to meet them and see if one of these little guys is meant to be your new best friend, please text us at 213-840-0153 to arrange a meet-and-greet.

Story
Meet Lia A Tiny Terrier With a Big Future and So Much Love to Give Breed: Rat Terrier Mix Gender: Female | Age: 3 Months DOB: July 10, 2026 (Estimated) Weight: 3.75 kg / 8 lbs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: Playful | Curious | Sweet | Lively (Typical Puppy Traits) Medical: Vaccinations Current | Spay Status: Unknown | Microchip: Not Provided Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Safe transportation coordinated for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Lia is an adorable 3-month-old Rat Terrier mix weighing approximately 8 pounds. This precious little girl is just beginning her journey through life, and she's looking for a loving family to help her grow into a happy, confident companion. At three months old, Lia is still very much a baby. She's at an important stage of development when everyday experiences, gentle guidance, and positive interactions can help shape her confidence and behavior as she grows. Rat Terriers are often known for being intelligent, curious, lively, affectionate, and full of personality. Despite their smaller size, they can be energetic little dogs who enjoy exploring, playing, and spending time with their families. As a Rat Terrier mix, Lia may develop some of these wonderful characteristics as she matures. She would benefit from a family that can provide age-appropriate playtime, gentle exercise, mental enrichment, positive socialization, and plenty of affection. Because Lia is still growing, her adult size cannot yet be determined from her current weight alone. With patience, consistency, and love, Lia has the opportunity to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At only three months old, Lia is still learning about the world. Her future family should be prepared for the normal responsibilities of raising a young puppy. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be ready to continue working on potty training, crate training if desired, leash walking, basic commands, recall, appropriate chewing, household boundaries, and positive socialization. Rat Terriers are often clever and eager to explore, so positive reinforcement, patience, repetition, and consistent routines will be especially important. Short, enjoyable training sessions will help Lia develop confidence while strengthening the bond she builds with her new family. Her adopter should also understand that puppies require supervision, structure, and time. Accidents, chewing, teething, and occasional mischief are all normal parts of puppyhood. Lia will need a family willing to invest the time and effort required to guide her through puppyhood and into adulthood. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 Days: Time to decompress and begin feeling safe. 3 Weeks: Time to understand her new household routine. 3 Months: Time to build trust, settle in, and begin feeling truly at home. These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Every rescue dog adjusts at their own pace, and Lia should be given the time she needs to feel safe and secure. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Lia's vaccinations are current, and her spay status has not yet been confirmed. Because she is only three months old, her adopter should review her medical records with a veterinarian to determine whether she needs additional puppy vaccine boosters, deworming, flea and parasite prevention, microchipping, or other preventive care. If Lia has not yet been spayed, her future family should discuss age-appropriate spaying with a veterinarian. As a growing puppy, Lia will need quality puppy nutrition, regular veterinary examinations, appropriate exercise, dental care, grooming, nail care, and continued preventive healthcare. Because she is still small and developing, her family should also provide safe play areas, gentle handling, and supervision around larger dogs or young children. Adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment that includes the time, financial responsibility, training, and care necessary throughout her life. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Lia, please complete an adoption application: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and helping them find safe, loving forever homes. While based in Southern California, we coordinate safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Our goal is to give every dog the best possible chance of finding the right family and a home where she will be loved and cared for throughout her life. Adopting Lia means committing to her training, veterinary care, exercise, safety, companionship, and happiness throughout her life. Lia may be tiny today, but she has a whole lifetime of love, adventures, and wonderful memories waiting ahead of her. At just three months old, she's looking for someone who will be there for every milestone, every new discovery, and every little victory. This sweet little Terrier deserves a family who will love her as she grows and give her the happy ending every puppy deserves. Story
MILLIE is a lovely adult/senior, 8 pounds, girl Rat Terrier whose senior human dad passed away, leaving Millie and her four little companions, Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy, without their dad. They all get along really well, are house trained, and also know to use pads to do their business indoors, and at night, and when it's raining or very cold out. They are not barkers, only barking to warn that someone is at or near the front door, and then they settle down again. They are great with cats because their housemates have been six (6) cats! If shown a lot of affection and understanding when welcomed into their new homes, we are sure these lovely kiddos will do well in a loving new home even if they don’t stay together. IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently the number of deaths from hungry coyote attacks has greatly increased. Coyotes can climb 10 foot fences with a small to medium sized dog in their jaws. This happens in broad daylight in the middle of the day, and on trails while hiking with your dog on a leash, it is truly unbelievable, and we have frightening first-hand accounts. We are listing these lovely pups to help their current foster/rescue in finding them wonderful new homes. All four girl pups are spayed, Shorty is neutered, and all of them current on vaccines. To learn more about Millie (Cookie, Shorty, Poopsy, and Missy), please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our PayPal email for donations and sponsorships).
