Story
Mr. Fox is just the sweetest Rat Terrier boy who is young at just 6-8 months of age and a small 9 pounds.  This doll baby loves everyone and he gets along with all the other dogs who are even bigger than he is.  Not known about cats but he is so easy going that we know he would be friends with them too!  He is so playful and charming all at the same  time.  He loves to cuddle with you and will sit on your lap all day if you let him.  He adores being with his human. We think that older children might be best for him unless a young one has been around small dogs in the past.  Mr. Fox is crate trained but needs a little more time to work on house training. He loves to go for rides in the car and he is very good on leash walks.  This total package of a loving small dog is refreshing to offer.  He has not been emotionally damaged and shows no shyness or traits of abuse from his past.  We think he would flourish with another dog to play with in a fenced yard or a dog park.  This happy go lucky young pup is ready for you to love.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com ASAP  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 25, 2024, 12:45 pm

Story
Meet me at PawSafe, 348 Old Colony Rd, Eastford CT Everyone could use a little more pie, and this little one checks off all the boxes. He's about 3ish months old and will most likely be under 20 pounds when all grown up. The shelter is a scary place for a little cutie like this and he's all alone. Give him a few minutes to warm up and he's a crazy little happy man. He's looking forward to a lap he can call his own. Apple is neutered and medically up to date for his age.

Story
Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a whoot. 😂 As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience. When they are together, if they see other fur babies they get really excited and like to bark. Which is probably, how they survived on their own for so long as a way to protect themselves being so small and older. Even though Skipper eventually warms up to new dogs, it takes a while, and he would probably be happiness as an only dog in his next home. Skipper is very much loved in his foster home. Thus, only the most perfect of home him will he grace. 🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Twix is a young small breed dog. We don’t know his actual breed, but he is exactly what you would expect a lab/Jack Russel Terrier would be. He is a sweet little bundle of love. He is smaller in size so is easy to pick up. He loves to cuddle. He plays with the two other dogs in his foster home, gets all tired out, and takes long naps. Twix respects the limits of his doggy siblings and when they have had enough, he backs off. He runs to the door and whines when he needs to potty. No accidents in the house. He goes out every 3 to 4 hours. He sleeps through the night in his kennel. Twix loves squeaky toys and marrow bones with peanut butter. He walks well on the leash and is working on basic commands. He is also good with cats. Twix is looking for a family of his own. Please come and meet this sweet boy!Adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering.
