Story
LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY. Peabody is a 2-year-old Rat Terrier mix (we think). He was pulled into our rescue from an over-crowded, rural, KY shelter because he was not tolerating the environment well and was shut down. He was terrified when first arriving at his fosters home. It took time…but not much. We have video evidence that he is a Velcro mix. He likes dogs about his size, but gets passive-aggressive with bigger dogs. Meaning he runs his mouth. He would have no problem with another, playful dog or being the one-and-only. He likes to watch TV on the couch, beside you, with his eyes closed. He will be the big spoon every night and knows how to fit perfectly into the small of your back. Peabody will likely need the expected 3 days to decompress in a new environment. But once he has stopped fretting, he’ll be melting like butter in your lap. We think Peabody needs to find that doesn’t require transport, so applications must be local to TN. I need to be adopted in Crossville, Tennessee. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. Peabody's adoption fee is $300.If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Quinn loves, loves, loves other dogs. he runs and bows and has a ball with large and small dogs although he might trip on a small dog he is so exuberant. when meeting new dogs he is so happy he forgets to be shy around their humans. definately needs another dog in the house or a good nearby dog friend.Meet Quinn, a one-of-a-kind canine companion with a heart as big as his personality. This handsome boy is a unique mix of a Rat Terrier or Jack Russell Terrier, with the sleek and graceful body of a Whippet, and perhaps a few other surprises in the mix! Quinn is estimated to be around 4 to 5 years old and weighs about 26 lbs. Quinn is a true gentleman, with a dignified and gentle spirit. He is independent and smart, and while he may take a little time to adjust to new surroundings, he is worth the wait. Initially shy, Quinn will warm up to you with patience and understanding. He just needs a little time to settle into his new life and feel comfortable enough to show his true colors. In his previous home, Quinn was said to be energetic, playful, and outgoing, especially with older children and cats. He is house-trained and neutered, making him ready to join your family right away. While his foster family hasn't seen his playful side just yet, they believe it's just a matter of time and love before Quinn feels comfortable enough to let his guard down and show his playful, energetic side again. Quinn would do well with patient adopters who can give him the time and understanding he needs to truly shine. If you're looking for a loyal companion to snuggle up with on the couch and be your best friend.
