Story
Meet Bella Bella is a 13-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is looking for a soft place to land for her golden years. She's a gentle senior girl who still enjoys the best things in life: car rides, naps in the sun, pup cups, cozy dog beds, toys, and snuggling up in the human bed close to her people of course. Don't let her age fool you, this girl is spry and loves to prance. She loves to go to work with foster mom but would also love a more quiet home where her people are home a bit more. Bella gets along well with other calm, small dogs and has a quiet, easygoing personality. Like many senior pups, she does have some incontinence if left alone for a long time. She will need a patient adopter who understands that aging dogs sometimes need a little extra grace and care. What Bella offers in return is companionship, sweetness, and the kind of love only a senior dog can give. She deserves a home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of her days. If you are interested in meeting Bella, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Bella's adoption fee is $50 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm, and HW testing.

Story
We adopted Biggie from KC Pet Project and he is a great dog. The only reason we are looking to rehome him is bacause we have been unable to get him to stop marking around the house. He is very sweet, very fast and a great dog other than the marking.

Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Aliyah is about 6 years old, spayed, up to date on all vetting, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is Sponsored! Aliyah came to us from a neglect case and has been with a foster to help her come out of her shell. She is used to living with other dogs around her size or smaller. She can be timid meeting new dogs but as long as the dog is friendly and gives her time to adjust she does very well. Aliyah is a very fearful dog when in new situations and meeting new people and can be especially fearful of men. Once she trusts someone she does become very attached but she will need a lot of TLC and patience to trust another new person in a new environment. She can be reactive in moments of fear, or protective of her person with strangers. Her thundershirt makes her more brave and once her leash is on, she understands that it's time to go and she gets a bit more confident and relaxed. Aliyah absolutely LOVES walks, stuffed toys, treats, and is affectionate once you've gained her trust. She will need continued training through her trust issues with a confident and patient owner who has experience working with dogs who may have experienced trauma. She is not an appropriate fit for a home with children. The right person will undoubtedly bring out her affectionate and joyful side, it will just take time, patience, and consistent work to get her there.

Hi there! I am a lovable little puppy! Even though I am cute as a button I will take some work as I adjust into my new home. Don`t get me wrong, we will have a lot of fun in the meantime but I will need time to understand what`s expected of me. I will need help on all those fun puppy things like house training and basic obedience. I want to learn everything I possibly can. I am pretty excited about life and doing new things! My goal is to be your lifelong companion and I should learn quickly with praise, treats, time and patience. I`d really love for us to get enrolled in training classes, after all school is the best way to get us both educated on what it takes to raise a puppy! It will be fun to watch me as I`m learning, after all puppies can be pretty silly. If you`re ready to take on all the fun and companionship, come on out to Wayside Waifs today!

Story
Meet Disney ✨   This adorable little firecracker is ready to find her perfect home! Disney is a 3-year-old, 14-pound girl with a big personality and lots of love to give.   Her foster mom says Disney is potty trained, listens well, and responds kindly to correction. She’s also working hard on kennel training — sleeping quietly through the night and patiently waiting in the morning to go outside.   Disney can be a little barky and loves to enthusiastically announce visitors. She’s done well with older children (10+) and gets along with male dogs that are around her size or slightly larger. However, Disney would likely thrive as the only pet or the only female dog in the home, as she prefers to be the queen of the castle. Cats are not her thing.   Disney is spunky, opinionated, entertaining, and full of personality — the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal little companion with plenty of charm.   If interested in learning more about her, submit an application at https://savingdeathrowdogs.rescuegroups.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 23, 2026, 1:43 pm
