Story
Mazey is a Rat Terrier about 10 years old. Until my wife passed away, she was my wife's comfort dog. I am rehoming her because I travel. Mazey is playful, has had no problem interacting with children and adults and other dogs and cats. She is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. Having a dog door would be helpful as well, which we do not have. She is a smart dog, plays with her toys when she is in the mood. She will bring her favorite toy, a duck, to you to throw and she will race to get it and bring it back. She likes to be played with as well. She loves to be walked outside and likes a daily treat. We feed her Fresh Pet with a dish of dry dog food set aside that she will eat later in the day if extra hungry. Two weeks ago we took her to the vet who looked her over and clipped her nails. She is in good health. Her shots will be due June 6th.

Story
Meet Bella 💕 Bella is a 13-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is looking for a soft place to land for her golden years. She’s a gentle senior girl who still enjoys the best things in life — car rides, naps in the sun, pup cups, cozy dog beds, toys, and snuggling up in the human bed close to her people of course. Bella gets along well with other calm, small dogs and has a quiet, easygoing personality. She will be your best co-worker if you work from home and would do best with someone who is home more than they are away. Like many senior pups, she does have some incontinence and occasional accidents in the house, so she’ll need a patient adopter who understands that aging dogs sometimes need a little extra grace and care. What Bella offers in return is companionship, sweetness, and the kind of love only a senior dog can give. She deserves a home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of her days. 🩷 If you are interested in meeting Bella, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Bella's adoption fee is $50 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm, and HW testing.

Approx. DOB:  10/3/24                Approx Weight: 14.6 Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!                       Hershey is full grown at 14pds! Hershey was released to rescue by the owner who said he didn't want him but gave no reason why. We have found this small guy to be really sweet and loving. He isn't the type of fella that likes being held very long. Probably due to his young, active personality. Hershey loves being petted and sitting on your lap. Hershey loves meeting new people and can come off as being shy. It doesn't last long because he wants all the loving he can get. He has been great meeting new dogs. Hershey is submissive at first until he knows the dog is friendly. We have taken him on a few walks and he seems to enjoy them. He wears a harness and it will go home with him when adopted. We also send him to his new home with a collar and leash.  He has done really well being crated. We have been working on the marking by having him wear a belly band that deters this. He seems to be really smart and he is eager to please his humans. We will send one home with him when he is adopted. He will also go home with a collar and leash.  Hershey loves his toys. So far none have been destroyed. We can cat test him if needed. Hershey is going to make some lucky family happy when they adopt him. Give this little guy a chance and fill out the application. Our small dogs tend to get adopted quickly.  I have been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Meet Disney ✨   This adorable little firecracker is ready to find her perfect home! Disney is a 3-year-old, 14-pound girl with a big personality and lots of love to give.   Her foster mom says Disney is potty trained, listens well, and responds kindly to correction. She’s also working hard on kennel training — sleeping quietly through the night and patiently waiting in the morning to go outside.   Disney can be a little barky and loves to enthusiastically announce visitors. She’s done well with older children (10+) and gets along with male dogs that are around her size or slightly larger. However, Disney would likely thrive as the only pet or the only female dog in the home, as she prefers to be the queen of the castle. Cats are not her thing.   Disney is spunky, opinionated, entertaining, and full of personality — the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal little companion with plenty of charm.   If interested in learning more about her, submit an application at https://savingdeathrowdogs.rescuegroups.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 31, 2026, 9:56 pm

Story
this girl was found dumped with her litter. I pulled her from the shelter to give her some time to decompress, and because she looks and acts younger then 8 weeks. I have not had her long yet, and I’m going to keep her until I find a perfect home for her. While she’s with me, she will be working on potty training (going well), basic obedience, crate training, and socialization. I would love to find her a comfortable home, so far she seems to prefer women and my older animals. She is still friendly and snuggly with my male partner, and has been friendly with all my animals. Unfortunately, my home a lot of traffic, both human and animals, and she would prefer a calmer house.
