We adopted Biggie from KC Pet Project and he is a great dog. The only reason we are looking to rehome him is bacause we have been unable to get him to stop marking around the house. He is very sweet, very fast and a great dog other than the marking.

Story
Meet Bella Bella is a 13-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is looking for a soft place to land for her golden years. She's a gentle senior girl who still enjoys the best things in life: car rides, naps in the sun, pup cups, cozy dog beds, toys, and snuggling up in the human bed close to her people of course. Don't let her age fool you, this girl is spry and loves to prance. She loves to go to work with foster mom but would also love a more quiet home where her people are home a bit more. Bella gets along well with other calm, small dogs and has a quiet, easygoing personality. Like many senior pups, she does have some incontinence if left alone for a long time. She will need a patient adopter who understands that aging dogs sometimes need a little extra grace and care. What Bella offers in return is companionship, sweetness, and the kind of love only a senior dog can give. She deserves a home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and cherished for the rest of her days. If you are interested in meeting Bella, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Bella's adoption fee is $50 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm, and HW testing.

Story
We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption. Aliyah is about 6 years old, spayed, up to date on all vetting, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is Sponsored! Aliyah came to us from a neglect case and has been with a foster to help her come out of her shell. She is used to living with other dogs around her size or smaller. She can be timid meeting new dogs but as long as the dog is friendly and gives her time to adjust she does very well. Aliyah is a very fearful dog when in new situations and meeting new people and can be especially fearful of men. Once she trusts someone she does become very attached but she will need a lot of TLC and patience to trust another new person in a new environment. She can be reactive in moments of fear, or protective of her person with strangers. Her thundershirt makes her more brave and once her leash is on, she understands that it's time to go and she gets a bit more confident and relaxed. Aliyah absolutely LOVES walks, stuffed toys, treats, and is affectionate once you've gained her trust. She will need continued training through her trust issues with a confident and patient owner who has experience working with dogs who may have experienced trauma. She is not an appropriate fit for a home with children. The right person will undoubtedly bring out her affectionate and joyful side, it will just take time, patience, and consistent work to get her there.

Hi there! I am a lovable little puppy! Even though I am cute as a button I will take some work as I adjust into my new home. Don`t get me wrong, we will have a lot of fun in the meantime but I will need time to understand what`s expected of me. I will need help on all those fun puppy things like house training and basic obedience. I want to learn everything I possibly can. I am pretty excited about life and doing new things! My goal is to be your lifelong companion and I should learn quickly with praise, treats, time and patience. I`d really love for us to get enrolled in training classes, after all school is the best way to get us both educated on what it takes to raise a puppy! It will be fun to watch me as I`m learning, after all puppies can be pretty silly. If you`re ready to take on all the fun and companionship, come on out to Wayside Waifs today!

At 11 years young, this adorable 13-pound Rat Terrier proves that age is just a number. Barnaby is a bright and curious little guy who loves walks at the park, squeaky toys, and riding shotgun on car adventures.  He settled into his foster home like he'd lived there forever—he's got that confident Terrier swagger and isn't shy about making himself comfortable!  Friendly with both men and women, Barnaby loves to curl up next to his favorite person for a cozy couch snuggle. He is also house trained and very food motivated. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate in the bedroom.  With a proper introduction, Barnaby gets along with other dogs and  with cats.  He currently shares his foster home with both a large and a small dog, and two senior cats. He immediately befriended the smaller dog and just needed a little time to adjust to a bigger canine companion.  He’d probably do best with bigger dogs if they are calm and easy going.   We haven't seen Barnaby interact with children, but we think he'd do best in a home without little ones.  If you're looking for a fun-sized sidekick with a playful spirit and a big personality, Barnaby is your guy. He's ready to trade foster life for a forever home where he can enjoy daily adventures, endless snuggles, and all the love he deserves.   Approximate Birthdate:   June 2015 Adoption Fee: $250 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines:  Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more For more information please fill out an application.   CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: email@tarasdream.org June 26, 2026, 11:03 am

Story
How YOU doin’? 😏 Joey here. The smaller, fluffier, less famous one… but just as handsome. I’m a 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix (about 13 pounds now, probably 35-40 when I’m fully grown), and I’ve been told I’m a pretty easy guy to like. Whether it’s the charm or the great hair, I’m not asking questions. I’m into the simple things: playing until I’m exhausted, then crashing like it’s been a long day of auditions. I’m also a big fan of toys – squeaky ones, balls and puzzles are all fair game. I’m great with other dogs and would be very into having a furry roommate. I’m also good with kids, but I get excited and sometimes launch myself into the air to say hello. I’m still learning the basics. I know “sit,” I’m working on house training, and walks are starting to make more sense. At night, I settle into my crate like it’s my own personal recliner and call it a day. Car rides aren’t really my thing yet (my stomach has some opinions), and I’m still in that curious-about-everything phase. But I’m a smart guy, and I’m catching on more all the time. So, wanna be friends? I’ll be there for you. ❤️ Joey’s adoption fee is $275 and includes his neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Apply to meet him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Now streaming on DogFlix “Puppy Love” Phoebe is our main character, and the series follows her journey to find her perfect family. She is a 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for the love of her life. Phoebe is a confident gal and knows who she is. She describes herself as sweet, playful, with a little bit of spice sprinkled in. She will be a perfect 35-ish pounds once fully grown. Miss Phoebe loves her canine friends and welcomes them into her world. She has yet to meet the feline types. Toys? Oh yes! The squeaky toys, balls, and puzzles are her favorites. Phoebe is very friendly with people and does well with kiddos. When it’s time to settle, she will be happy to keep you nice and warm by snuggling up to you. Phoebe is navigating life and learning to be the bestest grown-up doggo that she can be. She has worked really hard on her housetraining skills and is so close to mastering them. She also sleeps quietly in her crate. She has mastered the ‘sit’ command and would love to show off for you. The leash is something new, but she is already rocking it! Follow Phoebe’s adventures, or better yet, be part of her adventure by filling out an adoption application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org and meet this darling little lady. Phoebe will come to you spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her streaming fee, oops, adoption fee, is $275. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved applicants. We are all waiting for the next season to find out where Phoebe is in her journey. Are you going to be in the season finale? 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤
