Story
Best friend Buddy is the total package. He loves people and greets everyone, always eager for attention.   At 12, Buddy ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter. We do not know his backstory or why such a sweet boy would land in a shelter. We may never know.     At Critter Cavalry, we adore seniors and believe they deserve every chance to find a loving home. You won’t regret considering Buddy—he loves everyone, whether human or animal. Buddy is everyone’s best friend.     Buddy is healthy for a senior. He has limited sight and hearing, but is otherwise in good shape. He navigates his foster home easily and enjoys exploring the fenced yard. He comes when called—just use a louder voice.   Buddy is ready to retire with a couple eager to add him to their family. He’d love a fenced yard to explore—size isn’t important—and an active retirement with short walks and car rides. He will be a wonderful addition to a family that matches his lifestyle.   If you want a new best friend, Buddy is perfect for you. To learn more about adopting him, contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or 615-943-7311. Approved application and adoption fee required.    July 31, 2026, 11:14 am

Story
I’m Julien, a 1-year-old Rat Terrier/Min Pin mix. I weigh about 23 pounds. I was rescued in Louisiana, and the shelter down there says I’m friendly and funny and curious about everything! I’m smart and like to learn new things, and I love being wherever the action is. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and the adoption team will get right back to you.

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: Yes Meet Bonnie Boo! She is a fun loving girl who is equal parts playful and loving.  She is always good for a play sesssion, but also settles down easily for snuggles. She would do very well in a home with or without a canine sibling.  This smart girl is fully house and crate trained! She will go into her crate easily and settle right down.  Bonnie knows basic commands and is highly treat-motivated, making her easy to train. She enjoys walks in the neighborhood and does well just about anywhere you take her.  She is even learning to enjoy car rides.Bonnie has gotten along well with the dogs in her foster home, as well as the few dogs she has met when out and about. She is great at reading other dogs cues and will settle down when they are done playing. She has met a cat and was not interested in interacting.  As a puppy, she is still learning her manners, so would do well with dog savvy kids who understand how to interact with a young dog/puppy. Bonnie will make her furever family laugh and fall in love with her with little to no effort on her part! Are you ready to be that family? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Beautiful 9 yr old blue tuxedo Rat Terrier looking for loving new home. Located in Dedham, Ma. She is a small adult dog that may look like a puppy to some. She is very shy but once she is comfortable, she is a joy to be with. She is bubbly and what is nice to watch is when she is having fun sometimes you can catch her doing a very cute helicopter spin. Although she is quiet, she does bark. She is good for an apartment or a home, and she is mainly litter trained like a cat, she also uses pee pads, but not that much. She is good for someone who has the time to spent with her and love her. She is not fixed and may or may not be good with children and other pets. She is not around children and pets until she goes outside and passes by them. Because she is shy, she usually likes to stay close by when she is walked. Bring a small body harness (she never had a collar around her neck), a leash, and a medium dog crate (for her to have room) when you pick her up.
