Story
Meet little Minnie! Found abandoned in a motel parking lot, Minnie has definitely been through a lot in life. Estimated 10-12 years, tiny Minnie has the energy of a much younger dog! She loves a long walk, eagerly jumps up on the couch with her foster humans, and can’t resist a delicious treat. Minnie is house trained and does not have accidents in her foster home! She enjoys walking calmly on a leash and walks well with the other small dog in the home. When it comes to cats, Minnie is your girl! She happily lives and shares space with 5 cats in her foster home, even getting in her cozy bed with one sometimes! She does well with other small dogs too. Given that Minnie is an older lady, we recommend she is adopted to a home with older children (or none at all!). She lives with elementary school aged kids in her foster home, and is very behaved with them, but we think she would appreciate a calmer and quieter environment as she ages! WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue.
