  Danica is a small little Toy Fox Terrier with a tender heart and a deep desire to feel safe again. This 2 year old girl who weighs just 9 pounds, was found running scared and lost through a rough neighborhood in rural Tennessee and when no one came forward to claim her, it became clear she was meant to start a new chapter—one where security and love are a given, not a question.    She is the definition of a Velcro baby. Danica wants to be right beside her person, soaking up every moment of closeness she can get. Your lap, your side, the spot right at your feet—that’s where she’s happiest. She does well with cats and seems comfortable around other dogs, but her true favorite will always be her human. Danica is incredibly sweet, a little clingy, and completely honest about her need for reassurance. After the trauma of being lost and the abandonment she’s experienced, who could blame her? She is fully potty trained and thrives when she can form a strong bond with someone who enjoys snuggles, quiet companionship, and being deeply loved. Story
Meet little Minnie! Found abandoned in a motel parking lot, Minnie has definitely been through a lot in life. Estimated 10-12 years, tiny Minnie has the energy of a much younger dog! She loves a long walk, eagerly jumps up on the couch with her foster humans, and can’t resist a delicious treat. Minnie is house trained and does not have accidents in her foster home! She enjoys walking calmly on a leash and walks well with the other small dog in the home. When it comes to cats, Minnie is your girl! She happily lives and shares space with 5 cats in her foster home, even getting in her cozy bed with one sometimes! She does well with other small dogs too. Minnie has basic obedience training, and knows sit, paw, stay, and lay down. Despite being an old dog, she is eager to learn new tricks and her training helps her form deep and meaningful bonds with her foster parents. Given that Minnie is an older lady, we recommend she is adopted to a home with older children (or none at all!). She lives with elementary school aged kids in her foster home, and is very behaved with them, but we think she would appreciate a calmer and quieter environment as she ages! Ridge is a 6-month-old, 17 lb cutie with the cutest ears you’ve ever seen and a look that’s truly one of a kind. He was saved from Louisiana and has been winning hearts ever since. Believed to be some kind of Rat Terrier mix (though we honestly aren’t quite sure), Ridge has such a cool, unique appearance that he really stands out. Personality-wise, Ridge is just as great as his looks. He’s good with all people and gets along well with other dogs, making him an easy addition to many types of homes. He’s still young and ready to learn, grow, and enjoy all the fun that puppy life brings. Ridge is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines.
