Alfie was born about March 27, 2017, this 15-pound 'cool dude' joined us after being found as a stray in a town about an hour away. Despite his unknown past, Alfie is the definition of laid-back. He’s a professional observer who loves nothing more than claiming a comfy spot on the couch to watch the world go by. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he prefers a 'co-existing' relationship over a high-energy play session. Alfie is a perfect gentleman on the go and he rides beautifully in the car and walks nicely on a leash. Because Alfie can be a little shy about being picked up and tends to scurry away, he’d likely do best in a home without very small children who might try to grab at or want to carry him. He’s looking for a forever home where he can simply be your best friend. Alfie came to us in need of a dental cleaning which was completed by our local vet. Please be aware that smaller dogs tend to struggle with dental health throughout their lives and you will likely have more dental bills in your future. Also, we will be looking for a home that doesn't mind having potty floor pads handy as so many of these very small dogs struggle with going outside to do their business. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $400.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Chico is currently in a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at the bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Chico is a male, possibly a Rat Terrier mix, and is around 4 months old (February 12th). -He weighs 10 pounds. -Was being given away, owner could not take care of him and his brother any longer -Previous owner said the mom is a rat terrier, unsure of father -Does well in a crate -Energetic, full of life. Happy to be here and have dog and human friends to play with.
