Story
Olive was born around April 22, 2018, and weighs about 11 pounds.   Rescued from a situation involving a previous offender on the Cattaraugus County Animal Abuse Registry, Olive is one of 27 dogs now looking for a fresh start. This sweet girl is learning what it means to trust and longs to shower someone with affection. While she may need a little patience to understand she's finally safe, Olive's gentle nature shines through. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is a calm travel companion in the car.  There will be some housetraining work to do, and for smaller breeds with petite bladders, we often find that incorporating potty pads can be a helpful tool in the process. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_500.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html. Story
Omar was born around April 21, 2024, and weighs about 5. He and 21 other dogs were seized from a woman who was on the Animal Abuse Registry for Cattaruragus County. Omar is teeny tiny and just about as cute as they come. He has bilateral luxating patellas but gets around fine. He may require pain meds in the future. Please speak with your vet if you have any questions about luxating patellas before applying to adopt. Omar is shy but quickly becomes your best friend.  Omar loves other dogs.  We are suggesting older/respectful children if there are children in his next home, just because of his initial shyness and teeny tiny size.  You will have potty training to do and we often suggest potty pads for these teeny tiny dogs with teeny tiny bladders. This is all we know so far and we will be learning as we go and so will you! Story
Meet Immortal! Immortal is an adorable 11-week-old, 5.4 lb (as of 4/21) Chihuahua/Terrier mix bursting with personality! Full of playful energy and puppy charm, he loves romping around with his siblings, chasing toys, and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate and craves human connection—he’s always ready to snuggle up in your lap after a good play session. Immortal is great with people of all ages, including kids, adults, and seniors, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. While he hasn’t been tested with cats just yet, he’s shown nothing but friendly curiosity with everyone he’s met. He’s already house-trained and puppy pad trained, and though he’s still too young for leash walks, he’s doing great indoors. Immortal is a quiet little guy who doesn’t bark—just the occasional whimper to let you know he’s around. He travels well, has no resource guarding behaviors, and so far hasn’t shown any dislikes. He’s always happy to be petted, held, or cuddled. Immortal hasn’t learned any formal commands yet, but he’s smart, treat-motivated, and eager to please—training will be a breeze with a little patience and love. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate puppy who will shower you with love and make every day a little brighter, Immortal might just be your perfect match!
