This adorable black-coated girl is sweet, affectionate, and always happy to be close to her people. Whether she’s joining you for a walk, playing around the yard, or settling in for some well-earned cuddle time, Dallas is ready to be your loyal little sidekick. Like any great comeback story, Dallas has already overcome a challenge of her own. She’s recovering from some hair loss, and her coat has been growing back beautifully. Every day she looks healthier, happier, and more confident, and she’s ready to leave that chapter behind as she begins life with a forever family. With her loving personality and resilient spirit, Dallas is sure to make a wonderful companion. Dallas will be available for adoption starting Friday, August 14! Clyde is one of a pair (think Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway) and at 14 they have been partners their whole lives and because we are so easy and still active and love walks, why not take both of us? We just make your life full and with us two is a wonderful thing. And maybe you can provide shelter and love for two sweet old young looking active dogs. Both were loved, both were well cared for but at the end and due to no fault of an owner who died, no family was around to take them. Volunteer favorites at SLO animal services, they were overlooked too many times, so we got them on our transport east. they love new things and people and each other and car rides.

Bonnie pal of Clyde was turned in due to the death of an owner. Both 14 but in great health. Bonnie has a small skin tag on her chin but we err on the side of age over beauty and may leave it. She is approx. 14 pounds and housetrained. Both were loved and cared for with good dental health etc just no one to love them til the end from no fault of the owner because it isnt easy to find people, even families willing to take on two beloved senior pets. They are great travelers and enjoy all kinds of new adventures and new people. Great duo. PS They won't rob your safe!

Best friend Buddy is the total package. He loves people and greets everyone, always eager for attention.   At 12, Buddy ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter. We do not know his backstory or why such a sweet boy would land in a shelter. We may never know.     At Critter Cavalry, we adore seniors and believe they deserve every chance to find a loving home. You won’t regret considering Buddy—he loves everyone, whether human or animal. Buddy is everyone’s best friend.     Buddy is healthy for a senior. He has limited sight and hearing, but is otherwise in good shape. He navigates his foster home easily and enjoys exploring the fenced yard. He comes when called—just use a louder voice.   Buddy is ready to retire with a couple eager to add him to their family. He’d love a fenced yard to explore—size isn’t important—and an active retirement with short walks and car rides. He will be a wonderful addition to a family that matches his lifestyle.   If you want a new best friend, Buddy is perfect for you. Rio came to us as an owner surrender when his family was losing their home to eviction. He was one of a number of dogs in the home that needed new homes, and we were able to take 3 of them. Rio is a friendly boy who is somewhat timid when he first meets new people or encounters new situations. He warms up quickly! There's no aggression - he's just a little scared at first.\ He loves other dogs and we would like to see him in a home with at least one other dog. He was best friends with a dog in his former home, and seems to love having a canine companion or two. He would be happy to live with children 10 years old or older. Rio is a wonderful boy who will make a great family member!

This handsome little man is Niko! He is a 1 year old male Rat terrier/beagle mix. He is in the 15-18 lb weight range. He is super friendly and is very social. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He is such a little lover and he loves to run and play. He never turns down a good belly rub. He would make the perfect lap dog! He would make a great addition to just about any family! He is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month.
