Story
Name: Jollie Estimated Birthday: 8/30/2025 Breed: Rat Terrier/Chihuahua Adoption Fee: $365 Jollie is a 14-week-old Chihuahua mix with a sweet heart, a playful spirit, and the sweetest puppy curiosity. She’s currently about 5 lbs and is expected to be around 18 lbs when fully grown. Jollie was found as a puppy, and she’s been settling into foster life with all the classic puppy charm. Jollie is an active, playful pup who loves toys. She is also friendly—though she can be a little timid at first. She warms up quickly and is truly a loving little girl once she feels safe. Like most puppies, she’s still learning her manners and routines and will need continued training (potty training, leash skills, and basic commands). She is working on potty training and is already learning how to tell humans she needs to go—when she starts making little circles, it’s her cue that it’s potty time. She’s already doing well with her crate routine and sleeps in her crate each night. She has been friendly with other dogs and has shown no signs of food/toy aggression. She is a gentle puppy who just needs a little confidence-building and consistency. If you’re looking for a loving, toy-obsessed, slightly shy-at-first puppy who will blossom quickly in a forever home, come meet Jollie! Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Name: Hollie Estimated Birthday: 8/30/2025 Breed: Rat Terrier/Chihuahua Adoption Fee: $365 Meet Hollie! She is a 14-week-old Rat Terrier mix with a big personality in a tiny package! She’s currently about 5 lbs and is expected to be around 18 lbs when fully grown. Hollie was found as a puppy and has jumped right into foster life with that classic happy, bouncy puppy energy. Hollie is active, playful, and very friendly, and she warms up quickly to new people. She’s also been friendly with other dogs. Like any young pup, she’s still learning the ropes—training is a work in progress, and she will thrive with a family ready to keep up with puppy basics (potty training, leash skills, manners, and lots of positive reinforcement). She is crate-trained and sleeps in her crate each night. Hollie will be an awesome fit for a human (or family!) who’s excited to help a smart, energetic puppy learn and grow. If you’re looking for a sweet, energetic little sidekick, Hollie is ready to meet you! Story
Zoe has been with me since she was 2 month. This will be a difficult process for me, but I recognize my lifestyle is changing. She is very energetic and will require an owner with an active lifestyle, but can enforce boundaries - something I did not do. She is accustomed to hiking, beach trips, road trips and overnight stays with friends. Loves people and dislikes other dogs - more of a fear aggression thing. A trained dog owner will be able to introduce her to other dogs. She does have allergies and would do well in homes without carpet. Main issue for me - Zoe is territorial and jealous with boyfriends that attempt to show affection towards me. I'd like to see her with a family or a home with multiple people residing there, but not a deal breaker. I do not believe this is the type of pet for someone needing emotional support.

Story
Danica is a small little Toy Fox Terrier with a tender heart and a deep desire to feel safe again. This 2 year old girl who weighs just 9 pounds, was found running scared and lost through a rough neighborhood in rural Tennessee and when no one came forward to claim her, it became clear she was meant to start a new chapter—one where security and love are a given, not a question.    She is the definition of a Velcro baby. Danica wants to be right beside her person, soaking up every moment of closeness she can get. Your lap, your side, the spot right at your feet—that’s where she’s happiest. She does well with cats and seems comfortable around other dogs, but her true favorite will always be her human. Danica is incredibly sweet, a little clingy, and completely honest about her need for reassurance. After the trauma of being lost and the abandonment she’s experienced, who could blame her? She is fully potty trained and thrives when she can form a strong bond with someone who enjoys snuggles, quiet companionship, and being deeply loved. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will choose you every single time, Danica is ready to give her whole heart to the person who gives her a safe place to land.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live, city and state.  This girl is going to make someone so very happy and loved.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 21, 2026, 10:00 pm

Story
Bolt My name is Bolt named after Usain Bolt. You guessed it I am fast just like the Olympic sprinter. It is amazing I am so fast because I have an injured pelvis. Because of this injury I have had nerve damage and lost feeling in my back end. This means I cannot pee and poop like a normal dog. My foster family and vet are working with me to see if there is some things we can try. Currently we are trying out some medications to see if we can get me to have control of my functions. We are not sure if they will work but we want to try. I am such a cute boy and very loving. I get along with the other dogs in the home. I think I am in charge of the much bigger dogs because my whole six pounds are filled with determination. I am still a puppy but have gotten over a lot of puppy behavior like chewing and biting. I weigh almost 7 lbs and need to put more weight on. I am crate trained. Currently I wear a diaper most of the time. I do not love it but put up with it to make everyone happy. I am very smart and want to do the right things when asked. I love humans, my crate and soft beds. In my foster home the other dogs think I am to fast to play with but I try to play with them. Maybe they will come around. I am looking for a home where someone will love me for me. No one know how I got injured but it was not my fault. I deserve to be loved and have a loving family like all other dogs. If you have room in your heart and lap and couch please give me a chance. I will pay you back with lots of love. If interested in giving me a forever home, please complete an application at safeanimalhaven.org.November 5, 2024, 12:12 am
