Story
Meet Tucker! This handsome 3-year-old, 26-pound Rat Terrier - Beagle with a full of personality and true to his breed. He loves being close to his people and will happily be your little shadow. One of his favorite things is playing with the water hose, and his playful energy is sure to keep you smiling. Tucker is an active boy who will thrive with regular exercise, long walks, and plenty of enrichment to keep his busy mind occupied. Like many Rat Terriers, he can get into mischief if he's bored, so he'll do best with a family committed to keeping him mentally and physically engaged. He's making great progress with learning what is and isn't appropriate to chew. Tucker is crate trained and is continuing to work on his house training. Frequent potty breaks and a consistent routine will help him continue to succeed. Because Tucker can become a little mouthy when he's excited or looking for attention, he would do best in a home with older children.Tucker would do best with older children as he can become a little mouthy while  playing.  He loves water, so if you have a kid pool or hose, he is there.  He gets along with other dogs, but would need to do a meet and greet.  We are working on his potty training.   Tucker would not be good with small animals, like bearded dragons or rabbits. Tucker is crate trained and will sleep in his crate.   He loves his food so much, that he would prefer you not reach into his bowl.   He knows sit, working on stay.  Would recommend a fenced in yard. If you're looking for a fun, loyal companion who loves to be by your side, Tucker may be the one! He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 7/12/26.
