Story
Meet Hayley Hayley is a 1-year-old, 30 lb Rat Terrier mix with a fun-loving personality and a heart full of love. She’s the kind of dog who brings energy, joy, and affection into every room she enters. This girl is super playful and always ready for a good game — especially if it involves tug-of-war (her favorite!). She loves staying active, whether that’s going on walks, playing with her toys, or just being part of whatever her people are doing. Hayley absolutely adores people, including kids of all ages, and thrives on attention and affection. She’s incredibly friendly, loving, and always ready for pets and snuggles after she’s burned off some energy. She does great with other dogs of all sizes and has also done well with cats, making her a great fit for a multi-pet home. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys getting out and exploring. Hayley is crate trained, though she may whine a little at first when settling in. She is potty trained as long as she’s kept on a consistent schedule with regular potty breaks. Why you’ll love Hayley:• Super playful and fun (tug-of-war champion!)• Great with kids of all ages• Dog-friendly and cat-friendly• Walks well on leash• Crate trained• Potty trained with routine• Very affectionate and people-oriented Hayley would do best in an active home that can keep up with her playful energy and give her all the love and attention she craves. In return, she’ll be your loyal, happy, tail-wagging best friend. Ready to meet Hayley? BREED-Rat Terrier Mix; SEX-Male; SIZE-Small; WEIGHT-13 lbs.; AGE-Approximately 4 Years; SPAY/NEUTER-Yes; HOUSETRAINED-Currently Uses Doggie Door; GOOD WITH KIDS-Yes; GOOD WITH DOGS-Yes; GOOD WITH CATS-Unknown; HISTORY-Rescued From A Local Shelter; ADOPTION FEE-$250   Gus is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He has a calm, easygoing nature, and his idea of a perfect day is simply being close to his person—curled up in your lap or resting quietly by your side. Gus greets everyone with joy and genuine happiness, and his gentle presence has a way of making you feel instantly loved. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and warmly welcomes new fosters into his home with a kind and patient spirit. Gus does have an autoimmune condition that causes some crusting around his eyes and the sides of his mouth. This means he will need a little extra daily care, including gently cleaning his eyes and mouth with a warm cloth, as well as taking daily medication. The medication is quite manageable, with an average monthly cost of about $20. With this simple routine, Gus remains comfortable and continues to thrive. If you’re looking for a truly special dog—one who will return your love with endless affection and quiet companionship—Gus may be the perfect match for you.March 7, 2026, 2:41 pm

Story
Meet Bobby! Smart, Handsome, and Ready to Be Your Best Friend If you`re looking for a dog with brains, personality, and movie-star good looks, meet Bobby! This handsome 2-year-old Rat Terrier has the kind of face that turns heads and the kind of heart that wins people over. Bobby is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and loves being part of whatever his people are doing.Bobby is fully house-trained and has proven himself to be an excellent house guest. He can be left free-roaming indoors during the workday without accidents or destructive behavior. He would much rather relax at home than spend the day in a crate.Bobby plays wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, gets along beautifully with his 13-year-old Rat Terrier foster sister, and is gentle and respectful with his 16-year-old foster brother who has dementia. He`s also done great meeting dogs at the dog park. When Bobby trusts you, he`s incredibly affectionate. He loves kisses, belly rubs, and being close to his people. In fact, he bonds so strongly that he`d love a family who wants a true companion by their side.Bobby walks nicely on a leash and enjoys adventures with his humans. He does need a secure environment because he`s athletic, clever, and capable of climbing a fence if left outside alone. The funny part? He isn`t interested in running away—he usually just wants to find his people and wait for them.Like many sensitive dogs, Bobby may take a little time to warm up to some new people, especially men. Give him patience and kindness, and you`ll quickly discover the sweet, loyal dog hiding behind those big brown eyes.Bobby is looking for a family that will appreciate his intelligence, cherish his affectionate nature, and give him the love he`s been waiting for.Could Bobby be your perfect match? To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Little Debbie! A gentle five-year-old Toy Rat Terrier/Toy Fox Terrier mix currently in Crockett, TX, whose golden and white coat mirrors the warmth she brings into every room. She is a small companion with a big heart, weighing around 15 pounds, and she has a way of quietly becoming your shadow as she follows along through daily life. Sensitive and deeply connected, Little Debbie quickly bonds with her people and offers comfort simply by being close, especially during quiet moments or long days. Her personality is a lovely balance of calm and playful. With just one 30 to 45 minute walk each day, she is content and relaxed, happily spending the rest of her time snuggling, playing with her favorite “babies,” or solving enrichment puzzles. She also enjoys perching by the window, watching the world go by like it is her favorite show! She knows sit, shake, and give me a kiss, and she is eager to keep learning through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. Little Debbie is friendly with new people, children, and other dogs, though her excitement can sometimes lead to enthusiastic barking or energetic leash behavior. She would benefit from continued training to help her channel that excitement calmly. While she is good with children, a household with adults or older children would help her feel more at ease. She is adaptable with routines, does well when left alone briefly, but needs a refresher in potty training habits. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and recently had a healthy vet check. She does have a luxating patella that may require mindful care, and she is currently a bit overweight, so a balanced routine will help her feel her best. Little Debbie would thrive in a caring environment where someone is home often. A quieter household with a fenced yard or attentive leash use would help her feel secure and happy. She is ready to bring companionship, warmth, and plenty of cuddles into a new loving home! Could Little Debbie be the loyal little friend who brightens your every day?
