Opalite is one of the pups from our Swifties group. She is a two year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. She and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that Opalite is very sweet but still unsure of this big world. She is ok with other small dogs, especially those about her size, as long as they are more settled. She does not play with other dogs or toys yet and her favorite spot is in your lap. She is a little anxious in a busy household. Not sure how she would do around young children, so best for older kids and above. Adopters will need to give her a few days to settle in and feel safe, then she will be the best lap dog ever. She has now been fully vetted and ready for adoption. Meet Bunny and look at her precious ears! Bunny is a sweet Chihuahua mix, appropriately 1-2 years old, around 12 pounds, housebroken and crate trained. Bunny is good with other dogs, loves people and is kid friendly (school age children). Sweet Bunny loves to go on walks, play with her toys, chase squirrels in the backyard and snuggle up to rest for her next playful adventure. Bunny is as sweet as they come and loves her people. Sadly, Bunny is heartworm positive and will need to be spayed. She will begin her heartworm treatments in November and once the vet gives the okay she will be spayed. But no need to worry because DFW Rescue Me covers those costs at our local vet. But in the meantime, if you&#39re interested in this precious girl, please complete an application at dfwrescueme.org. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment).
