Meet Hazel, She only weighs around 30+lbs & is almost 5+ years old Hazel came to us from Houston, Texas with her 4 pups. All her puppies got adopted but everyone keeps looking over hazel. Could be due to her being a fear biter, but within 3 days is she will be your best friend if you are patient and go slow. We suggest a home without kids! Story
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with this animal, please email us at info@animalhope.org or call 817‑984‑1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm.Starfire is a 4‑year‑old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing about 8 pounds, and she’s a bright, resilient little dog with a gentle spirit. We took her in from a city animal control after she was brought in having trouble with her back legs. After diagnostics, it was determined she had a small spinal fracture. With a few weeks of treatment and careful monitoring, she has healed beautifully and is now ready for a loving home.Starfire will always have some limitations with her back end, but with the right family and a calm environment, she will truly thrive as a devoted companion. She even attended our pet therapy event with a local mental health hospital and did wonderfully with everyone she met — adults and kids alike. She has done well around other dogs, but we keep her interactions limited to smaller, calmer ones to avoid any risk of reinjury. For her safety, she should avoid large dogs, hyperactive dogs, or young children who may not understand boundaries. This is not due to aggression — simply to protect her from any potential risk of reinjury. She has been cleared as healthy by our veterinary team. Her adoption fee is $300.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether she is housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age‑appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Starfire, we’d be happy to help. She’s a loving, brave little dog who’s ready for a safe, patient home where she can shine. 🐾✨

Story
Meet Bobby!Bobby came to us from the shelter after being surrendered for escaping—but meeting him, it feels less like he was trying to get out and more like he was searching for a place where he finally felt safe. This gentle 2-year-old, 21-pound boy has a soft, easygoing spirit that makes him instantly lovable. He is dog friendly, house trained, wonderful with children, and thrives on calm, reassuring companionship. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his laid-back temperament suggests he may do well.Bobby came into rescue heartworm positive, but he completed treatment like a champ and now has a clean bill of health. He’s ready to leave the uncertainty behind and step into a life of comfort and stability.Bobby is not a fan of being crated and would do best in a home where he can have a little more freedom and continue to build trust and confidence. He isn’t asking for much—just a soft place to land, a patient heart, and someone who will give him the time and reassurance he’s been missing. In return, Bobby offers quiet loyalty, gentle companionship, and a love that feels like home.Bobby is ready to finally exhale… all he needs is someone to welcome him in.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Meet Hayley Hayley is a 1-year-old, 30 lb Rat Terrier mix with a fun-loving personality and a heart full of love. She’s the kind of dog who brings energy, joy, and affection into every room she enters. This girl is super playful and always ready for a good game — especially if it involves tug-of-war (her favorite!). She loves staying active, whether that’s going on walks, playing with her toys, or just being part of whatever her people are doing. Hayley absolutely adores people, including kids of all ages, and thrives on attention and affection. She’s incredibly friendly, loving, and always ready for pets and snuggles after she’s burned off some energy. She does great with other dogs of all sizes and has also done well with cats, making her a great fit for a multi-pet home. She walks nicely on leash and enjoys getting out and exploring. Hayley is crate trained, though she may whine a little at first when settling in. She is potty trained as long as she’s kept on a consistent schedule with regular potty breaks. Why you’ll love Hayley:• Super playful and fun (tug-of-war champion!)• Great with kids of all ages• Dog-friendly and cat-friendly• Walks well on leash• Crate trained• Potty trained with routine• Very affectionate and people-oriented Hayley would do best in an active home that can keep up with her playful energy and give her all the love and attention she craves. Story
Meet Patches Patches is a 1-year-old, 40 lb Rat Terrier mix with the sweetest soul and a love for snuggles. She’s the perfect mix of affectionate and playful — happiest curled up next to her people or enjoying time outside with her favorite chew toys. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you — she warms up quickly and becomes a loyal, loving companion in no time. Once she feels comfortable, Patches is incredibly affectionate and will happily soak up all the cuddles you have to give. Patches enjoys the company of other dogs and does especially well with male dogs. She also does great with kids and would make a wonderful addition to a family home. She hasn’t been around cats yet. She’s a smart girl, too! Patches already knows commands like sit and paw, walks well on leash, and is both crate trained and potty trained. Patches can be a little protective of her food and favorite toys around other dogs, so she’ll do best with a home that can manage feeding times separately and give her space when enjoying high-value items. She does great with people and this is a very manageable behavior with simple structure. Why you’ll love Patches:• Very affectionate and loves to snuggle• Enjoys being outside and playing with chew toys• Dog-friendly (especially enjoys male dogs)• Great with kids• Knows sit and paw• Leash, crate, and potty trained• Loyal and loving once she warms up Patches is looking for a home that will give her a little patience at first and lots of love forever. In return, she’ll be your snuggly, devoted best friend. Ready to meet Patches?
