Story
Meet Etta Mae! Etta Mae is an 8-month-old sweetheart weighing around 25 pounds who is ready to find her forever family! She may be little, but she has a huge heart and is incredibly loyal to the people she loves. Etta Mae came to us after spending time in a shelter with her mom and siblings. We don't know much about her early life, she was very nervous and unsure about everything. In just one month, she has made incredible progress in foster and continues to grow more confident every day! She now loves going on walks, exploring the world, and meeting new people. She's potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash—even while being walked by a toddler! She seems to adore kids and enjoys having little humans around. As she's gained confidence, Etta Mae has discovered just how fun it is to play! She loves stuffies, chewing on bones, and learning how to wrestle and play with her foster sister. Watching her goofy personality come out has been such a joy. Etta Mae would thrive in a home with another friendly, easygoing dog. Whether it's a playful companion or a calm older dog, she loves having a canine buddy to follow around and snuggle with. She also does wonderfully with cats and gets along great with her foster cat brother. At the end of the day, Etta Mae's favorite place is curled up in bed with her foster family. She settles in anywhere she goes and is happiest when she's close to her people. If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion and are ready to continue helping this amazing girl blossom, Etta Mae is ready to meet you. *Puppies must go to a home with another adult dog *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy *Please visit website for how to adopt: https://sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org/adopt *Please note that we do not operate on a first come first served basis

Story
Meet Copper!A 65lb, 3-year-old, Bloodhound with a nose that never quits! This handsome hound loves putting his sniffing skills to work and is always eager to investigate the world around him. Copper enjoys being around other dogs and is happy to hang out with his canine friends, though he’s more of an observer than the life of the party.Copper has shown interest in playing ball — chasing it is the fun part, but bringing it back? That’s optional in his opinion! Like many Bloodhounds, he may come with a little slobber, but he shares it generously as part of his loving personality.Affectionate and sweet, Copper enjoys spending time with his people and will happily soak up attention, but he’s also content relaxing nearby without needing constant entertainment. He’s a laid-back companion with a loving heart and an incredible nose, ready to find his forever home.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via FB Messenger or email us at jcasreception@johnsoncounty.in.gov for an application. You can also find one on our website at http://johnsoncountyanimalshelter.com/adopt/. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can set an appointment to meet the pet!
