Story
Meet Lucas - Foster or Adopter Needed! Meet Lucas, a handsome and affectionate two year old 75lb boy who loves nothing more than snuggling up with his soft teddy and relaxing on a comfortable bed. Despite his large size, Lucas is a gentle and friendly dog who loves to soak up on a hot day in a creek or any water. He is dog-friendly, but prefers the company of bigger pups, and he's comfortable around cats too. Lucas is especially fond of children! Lucas is an excellent companion for walks and loves to lounge on the porch or deck. He walks well on a gentle leader and is always up for a good adventure. However, you might want to keep an eye on him if you're trying to keep a chipmunk-free yard! He is housebroken and well-trained, responding well to commands and taking his treats very gently. Although he's not much of a barker, Lucas is always alert and will let you know if there's something to pay attention to. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Lucas, don't hesitate to get in touch! You can apply online at www.peace4paws.com and see for yourself how wonderful he truly is! Let's find this sweet boy his forever home, where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves. ????If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Meet Buddy Boy! This sweet boy is absolutely perfect! We think Buddy is a hound mix with redbone coonhound and maybe Catahoula leopard dog! What we do know for sure, is he is amazing! Buddy is about 18 months old and 65 pounds. Buddy is a very happy boy that is playful but also likes to be calm and chill. Watching TV with his new family may be the perfect pastime. Buddy is house and crate trained. He also does well on a leash, and he will need some practice to make walks fun and exciting! Buddy is lucky to be alive, he came to us minutes before he was to lose his life at the shelter, and we are very grateful to be able to help him find his forever home. Buddy also had blood work at his last vet visit! Interested in becoming a forever home for Buddy? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Buddy. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Buddy the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $300. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Sweet Margarita is about 4 months old and ready to find her forevers. This little lady loves to play with her puppy friends and she loves all the nice people that she meets. She'll be a great addition to any loving family! Margarita Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
