EJ is a fun, young hound. He needs someone active, with a big outdoor life that will take him on adventures. He is affectionate and loyal to those who show him love. He would prefer to be the only dog as he doesn't like to share. He is not good with cats or other smaller animals or small people. He really wants to be a working dog.   For more info about EJ and our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry or call Jacki at 941-587-4612. March 19, 2026, 12:17 am

Story
Meet Espresso! ☕ Born on May 22 as one of 12 adorable puppies to a beautiful Redbone Coonhound mix mom, Espresso is a playful, adventurous girl with a personality all her own. Her mom is a 50 pound girl and we feel that daughter Espresso will be as well. At 12 weeks she is barely  12 pounds.   Espresso is affectionate—but on her own terms! She's an independent puppy who enjoys exploring, investigating new places, and figuring things out for herself. While she's confident doing her own thing, she also loves spending time with her sister, Caramel. True to her name, Espresso is always ready to go! Playtime is her favorite time, and she has plenty of energy to burn. She's a bit of a tomboy who enjoys rough-and-tumble puppy play, so any interactions with other pets should be supervised while she continues learning appropriate doggie social skills. Espresso would thrive in a home with a larger, calm, well-socialized dog who can help teach her good play manners and when it's time to take a break.    When it comes to training, food is definitely the way to Espresso's heart! She's highly treat-motivated and eager to learn when snacks are involved. She's already doing well with potty training and understands what 'potty' means when she's outside. She's still learning that her crate is a safe, cozy place and will benefit from continued positive crate training.    Like any growing puppy, Espresso is currently teething and thinks almost everything looks like a chew toy. A puppy-proofed home and plenty of appropriate chew toys will help keep her happy—and your belongings safe!  One thing Espresso has already mastered is riding in the car. She settles in quickly and makes an excellent travel companion for errands or adventures.    Overall, Espresso is a sweet, spirited puppy with a fun-loving personality and an independent streak. With clear boundaries, consistency, patience, and positive training, she's sure to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. If you're looking for an adventurous best friend who will keep you smiling and make every day a little more exciting, Espresso may be the perfect addition to your family.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 20, 2026, 12:47 am

Story
Annie sat scared and helpless in a Kentucky shelter, overlooked by potential adopters because she was so scared and shutdown from the world. Rogers' Rescues gave her a second chance a life outside of the shelter and her foster home has watched her blossom. Annie has learned the joy of soft dog beds, the joy of dog bones, the sheer pleasure of running with abandon in the backyard with a ball in her mouth. Best of all, she has access to a toy bin full of stuffed toys, which she absolutely ADORES! She thoroughly enjoys the companionship of her foster siblings and has even started engaging in play with them. We do think she will best thrive in a home with another dog to help her continue to build her confidence and mentor her in everything dog. She knows to go potty outside, loves her crate, and happily snoozes the day away in a dog bed or curled up on the couch. Despite being a coonhound which has a reputation for being loud, she is a very quiet girl, rarely barking. But being a coonhound, she does want to chase and flush any critters brave enough to venture into the yard. One of her very favorite things to do is go for a walk. If you hold up the harness and leash, she immediately runs over to you and patiently sits and waits for you to put it on her. She walks very well on a leash and goes on daily walks with the other dogs in the house. Watching Annie settle in and learn that the world is not a scary place has been so heartwarming. She has so much love to give and is truly a special girl. Please note that although she has come a long way from the terrified shelter dog, loud, unfamiliar noises will still startle her and make her nervous. Given her timid nature, we do think she will do better in a more residential environment. Please consider giving Annie the home she truly deserves-one that will spoil her rotten with couch cuddles, squishy beds, long walks, and stuffy toys galore. Any interested adopters must be willing to drive to meet her in person in Bethlehem, PA. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our application. Meetings will not be scheduled without an application. Please visit our website www.rogersrescues.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

🚨💔 URGENT — DELLA IS ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD AND HER LIFE IS ALREADY AT RISK 💔🚨 Della is just a baby. At only 5 months old and 27 lbs, she has already experienced more fear and uncertainty than any puppy ever should. She came from a home where she was living in unsanitary conditions, and now everything around her is unfamiliar and frightening. She doesn’t understand what happened or why she’s here. She only knows that the world hasn’t shown her yet that she can feel safe. 😭 But underneath that frightened little girl is a sweet, gentle puppy with so much potential. ❤️ Della is DOG FRIENDLY and just needs patience, kindness, and someone willing to show her that human hands can be gentle and that a home can be filled with love. She hasn’t even had the chance to grow up. 💔 And now she could lose her life before she ever gets to experience what being someone’s beloved dog feels like. 🐾 DELLA 💕 5 months old 💕 27 lbs 💕 Dog friendly 💕 Sweet baby girl 💕 Hound mix 🚨 PLEASE — DON’T LET DELLA’S STORY END IN A SHELTER AT ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD.
